For all of us that have made mistakes in our lives, still punish ourselves, but have not been defined by them, instead learned from them… this is for us.

Yup......you pretty much read my mind word for word......my older brother died from a drug overdose at 31 years old in 2014.......it wasn't my fault in any way whatsoever.....to everyone else lookin in but deep down on the inside it tore me apart violently at the seams for a long time because i just always lived by that code of brothers.......if it's my brother then it's my responsibility........I doubt ill ever be able to forgive myself for not confrontin him with everything i had to convince him to get sober for me and his family.......for not being convincing enough that lil brother still needed him around desperately.......one of the worst and saddest things that i hope no one else ever has to experience or go through is I hope nobody else ever sees the day arrive that you become older than your older brother/sister.😊

Keep going brother, it doesnt get easier, but it gets better. If my dumb ass can do it, I'm sure you can. Love your wife and daughter and never take them for granted.....and also remember you matter man! You matter. You made mistakes, and you were hurting, and alcohol was your solution(or so you thought). Dont beat yourself up too much because that will get you nowhere. Keep up the fight man, it will all be worth it.🤟🖤🤟

This song reminds me of my dad , he passes on November 28th 2019. He was a bad man when he and my mom got married, he beat her and did bad things but as he got older after they divorced he turned his life around and became a great man not perfect but greater than what he was . Love and miss him every day

I get it. I was that devil. I got into a wreck when I was 17. Me and my little brother, he was 15. He died. Bottled it up and smoked pot everyday all day. Got married and had 2 kids. I was still able to function as a young adult and had a good job and took care of things. But all I did was smoke pot and drink my ass off. I'd get so mean for stupid reasons. Shit I didn't mean would just fly out of my mouth uncontrollably and I'd break shit in fits of rage. Relationships became toxic and ruined a second marriage to a woman who was great before I took my toll on her......only in my 30s have I changed and realized what was wrong. Very rare does that devil surface now. If ever

My dad shot himself when I was 5 years old thankfully it didn't kill him. He couldn't take the fact that my mom was leaving him because of his drinking. He regretted ever making her leave I overheard him tell some men when we were working at the junkyard that he had a good woman and he screwed that all up. I miss him every day of my life he passed in April 2016 😭😭😭

NO ONE! Need Be Ashamed, Beat Themselves Up Or Feel Sorry For Themselves (Whether It's Something You or What Someone Else Has Done!) As Cliche As It Is... "We Are Only Human!" Now, If It Is You, That Is or Was The Problem?! Fix It, Stop Making Excuses & Dig Your-Damn-Self Out Of The Hole You Are In, Whether You Dug It Yourself or Someone Dug It For You! No One, Can or Will Feel Sorry For You Enough, That It Can Ever Fix Whatever Breaks or Has Broken You! You & You Alone Has To Step The Fuq Up & Fix It! Even If That Means Swallowing Your Pride & Asking For Help! But, 1st We Have To Be Honest With Ourselves & Own Our Own Shiznitz! Apologize To The Ones You've Done Wrong, Don't Even Ask For Forgiveness! & Sometimes, It's Best To Leave Sleeping Dogs Lie! Don't Open Up Old Wounds When Someone Is Doing Well, Just So That You Can Say Sorry! We Can Be Harder On Ourselves Sometimes, Than Anyone Else Ever Could Be! A Lot Of Times, People Just Move On w/ Their Lives & Don't Even Think About It! So, Careful With That One! Lastly, If You Don't Learn Forgiveness, Albeit Forgiving Yourself or Someone Else Whom Has Wronged You or Someone You Love(d)! You Are Either Going To Always Find Yourself In The Same Damn Hole! & It Doesn't Mean You Need To Let "Them" Back Into Your Life, But If You Don't Learn To Forgive Others (or Yourself) It Will Eat You Alive From The Inside! As My Older Brother Says: "I've Let Them Live Inside My Head Rent Free, For WAY Too Long!" Or As I Say: "You Cannot Move Forward, If Your Always Stuck In The Past!" Learn, Change (Even Your Thoughts) or Figure It Out, Whatever It Is You Need To Do, For You To Move Forward! ANNDDD!!! NEVER GIVE UP OR GIVE IN!!! FIGHT! Success Isn't Free, The Rents Due Every Damn Day! Much Love If You Made It This Far! & Know I'm Not 1oz Better Than Any One Of You! I Work On ALL OF THIS! From Just About Every Scenario You Can Think Of! Sometimes, Every Week, Every Day, Every Hour or Minute To Minute! This Life Is Absolutely Beautiful!!! That's If Beauty Is What You Choose To See & Focus On! Remember, It's Almost Always A Choice! Take Care My Friend(s)!

My dad was a very bad guy he never told us that he loved us. But while growing up under his roof he demanded that we stood up for our selves even to him. At the age of 16 i stood up to him and got my ass beat. After that he mess with me anymore. Later in life he told me thats when i became a man in his eyes and he respected me ever since. All he ever wanted was for us to challenge him, to show him that we could take care if our selves. It was hard but to be the man you have to stand up to the man. Rip JBW.
