Country music is more secure (in authenticity) than it has been since the OG outlaws... Chris Stapleton is honesty skating in the line of pop bs and real country... he’s still good in my book... but come on... jeez... what’s his face.. getting lost on his own property... that boy is a man bun with a guitar.

@@ChrisTopher-vh8tu dude chill out. Cody Jinks is good, whether you like him or not. And that's not a man bun. It's a freakin ponytail. You mentioned some more really good ones, but also some that I'll skip past every time they come on. It's call opinions and tastes. Everyone's is different, but that's why so many people can make a living playing and singing. If everyone had the same opinion and taste, there would only be a couple dozen people making music for a living

Cody Jinks, sings, writes, and the guys play the type of music that would me have me turning on the radio, if his stuff and more like it got played. I've been writing, playing, and singing music for more than 40 years and no one I've heard in the last ten years compares to the sound he and these guys present on the recordings I've heard from him. Just enough instrumentation and lots of soul in his sound.

Absolutely one of the most talented and gifted singers/songwriters I've seen come along in years and had the pleasure of listening to. Cody's voice is such a deep and soulful sound it amazes me. His band is uber-talented as well, and the music they make brings back memories of the old days when country music meant something more than the modern pop/radio sound that EVERYONE seems to be coming out with now. All that cookie cutter music has nothing on these guys. Truly amazing sound and this song in particular is one of my absolute favorites. Please keep up the awesome work Cody. You guys are exactly what country music needs, and what real country fans want! Much Love & Respect from down home in Texas. :)

So many people believe you have to tell people what they shouldn’t do, but if we started teaching people what they SHOUD do instead it would be a lot better. If we just would live and let live and not get so offended by every little thing the world would be such a better place.

This is talent.... another 20 yr overnight sensation. He's like if Eric Church and Chris Stapleton had a love child. So grateful I found this talented artist I am so ready for his music. Thank you Cody for sharing your gift.

My sentiments exactly Cody. I have heard some of your testimony and it sounds a lot like the church I was raised in. The first day I listened to this song I played it over and over. You know I believe as you do that we all "go over the line" sometimes. Well except for "sister self-righteous" and "brother holier than thou". They feel as if they are without sin, or theirs is not as bad as mine. Perhaps they would like the cast the first stone. Truth is we all have our demons in our closets. They keep theirs locked up in the closet and hid from everyone; but we unlock the closet door, let them out to wrestle with them every day and all the while "they" pretend they are without sin. We might be kicked back with a fat one and a cold beer being looked down by "them" because our sin to them is so much worse than theirs; right? All the while "sister self righteous is carving up a family member with a forked tougne sharper than a two edged sword and "brother holier than thou" sleeps on the job and when confronted says he was praying? Man oh man, I'm sure glad we're saved by grace. You see, I too "have a tortured soul for reasons I don't know". And I too "remember Mathew 5 and thankful to be alive". And I do everyday of my life commit to "give all I can" to everyone without any hidden agenda or expecting anything in return. No not expecting anything yet what I get back unexpectedly is greater than any monatery thing or money. And "I know that Jesus knows I get stoned" but "I guess some of us just need a little more to get by". Keep up the good work and know that God uses people in all walks to reach folks where they are. Keep the blessings coming and I will see you in Richmond Va.,April.

LYRICS: "Cast No Stones" I cast no stones I build no walls And I tell the truth Truth comes to call I try to walk That narrow way Sometimes I go over the lines And I won't make it back till the next day [Chorus] But I cast no stones What gives you the right? To tell me my business Good God man, you're out of your mind So put up your Bible Or let me get mine I'm not dragging the whole world to hell And wasting my time [Verse 2] I don't talk with Jesus As much as I should I don't read that good book Everyday like I could But I like to stop At the end of the day I pray that I hurt nobody And somebody new found their way [Chorus X2] But I cast no stones What gives you the right? To tell me my business Good God man, you're out of your mind So put up your Bible Or let me get mine I'm not dragging the whole world to hell And wasting my time But I cast no stones What gives you the right? To tell me my business Good God man, you're out of your mind So put up your Bible Or let me get mine I'm not dragging the whole world to hell And wasting my time [Outro] Say a prayer for me brother And I'll see you on down the line COPYRIGHT BY CODY JINKS
