You only have to reprogram the keyless entry. The rest will work if similar part number BCM.

With this could i say, have it ignore my steering wheel airbag since i have an aftermarket wheel and no airbag the light is constantly on. Also i ripped out my steering angle sensor accidentally when adding the wheel could i code that out as well with this

mohammed ali you can find the kit on eBay with the software and cable. I used just a old laptop that runs Windows XP. I found this software prefers to run better on xp.

Hello can you tell me if there's a coding that could be shut off the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob this way? I had to make a new key fob to start and run the car but the buttons don't work no matter what I do. Found it to be a cheap key fob bought a different fob and key locks work boat ways

This worked for me really chuffed. Only thing I’m struggling with is find which program will just read faults as I bought a laptop with all the stuff of it on eBay it’s very confusing

INPA Bmw software will read and clear faults. Some places on Bmw forums can be found for free.

Hi James. When reading EWS, NCS says the vin is faulty. I do Have the r50 Daten files however i must be missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated. Great Video by the way, keep it up!

I fixed it by going to Device and printer, fix the problem with trouble shoot, then go to Device manager>ports>update if possible>right click on the usb port> properties>portsetting>advance>make sure com port is on 1 and latency timer 1> ok and now try again of it works

Hi James .. great video.. it was a lot of help for ncs expert .. just a question or 2 .. my abs pump needed replacement and I did that .. the problem I have now is that the traction control light is permanently on.. my question is .. is it possible to recode the unit to remove or turn of this light and restore the traction control.. can this be done in ncs expert and do a restore to factory in it .. I would appreciate and input or a video even better .. again a great video .. by the way it’s a Mini Cooper R50 01 plate ..

Hi Ian. Have you done a fault read? Is it a abs light? As it could be wheel a sensor or do you have a traction control light on? Iv not seen a r50 with traction control before maby this was a optional extra you have? What abs unit did you replace it with as there are normal ABS units for the cooper and w/ASC & wDSC options throughout pre and facelifts models depending on the cars spec. These one found in the cooper s are slightly larger than the r50 abs unit. There is a dsc option in ncs dummy & expert, the module mk60, but Iv never touched any of this. Sorry I can’t be of much help.

can i do this with a elm327 ob2? or how i have to connect the program with my mini?

Hi mate no Bluetooth adaptors. You need the blue k-line obd2 to USB cable for the r53. The r56 needs the silver D-Can cable if you want to connect to it. Both can be bought for £5 each on eBay or amazon

@@airoh11 i see that the k-line cable is only for audi/seat/volkswagen, but the k-can is for bmw/mini. What i should buy for my mini?

virgilio668 the k-line will work with cars from around 1996 to 2007. But yes the k-DCan cable is two in one and can switch the pins so it can communicate between k data line and DCan. I don’t use the k-dCan cable however it should work if u get one.

The easy way is to get the software from ebay and it can be found fairly cheep at around £20. Then just buy the K-Line (Blue) cable or the K+Dcan cable(Silver). I bought the bmw software kit with cables from bmwdiagnostics on ebay. However you can also find INPA and Ncs Dummy/Expert for free on bmw forums but you will need to also find the daten files for the R50/R53 for it to read that model.

i cannot connect at all always says chassis is faulty and i dont have that options at all when i click load profile options that i have are default profile and dummy nothing else like you

Have a search for the revtor profile ncs expert on Google and install that. Also make sure u have the latest daten files for the R50/R53
