I got and f30 and I retrofit mine steering wheeel to the serie G , everything was working find and after a couple of day I got a restrain system at the driver one , I did the coding and everything but still showing once I drive the car , any ideas ? Do I need to recode or I need a module to reset that airbag sensor ?

"Extra boost" is a function used in the X5 45e's where the electric motor is used as a booster for the petrol engine to provide momentary extra acceleration not for the z4/supra

Did this today. Haven’t had much of a chance to drive with it yet but 100% makes some difference as even warmed up I get pops and crackles on startup in sport plus that were only there with a cold engine previously.

On a stock tune you can feel the throttle is a lot more sensitive. It requires less pedal pressure to go faster. The trans in auto mode might be a little quicker to shift, hang less on revs versus sports regular, and downshift faster.

Hi, I have both the 2020 BMW Z4 and 2021 Supra. The difference with the sport plus along with the more aggressive upshifts and downshifts if you get that M like brap sound when you lift off throttle under acceleration, adding to that also gives a more bucking or power surging feel. I like it quite a bit as it reminds me of the M cars as well as it just make the car feel more powerful.

I know it’s not out yet for your platform but wait till you have xhp stage 3 or 4 on yours, game changer in my opinion and as you may know it has increased line pressure option and others. Those will help at the power you are making now

I use bimmercode too but it's only noticeable for me in drive mode, not manual mode. I still downshift with paddles but I keep it in Drive, and let it do the shifting. Now it shifts faster than regular sports mode, especially vs manual mode.

I wonder if the difference is felt more in drive vs manual gear selection. In BMW's Sport Plus transmission settings not only make the shifts faster, but it also makes it hold lower gears for longer and is more aggressive in automatically downshifting while you are braking. It tries to keep the RPM's in the torque band and does a decent job at avoiding shifting during cornering for stability.

Extra boost is a feature of the active hybrid cars where it can use the electric motor to provide a "extra boost" to acceleration

I think because your car is a full bolt-on with a custom tune, it isn't a good candidate for this test. Need to test this on a stock car.

Tuned cars Sport+ on the Engine pretty much doesn't have any difference. The big shocker is the Transmission, I would 100% recommend it!

Is there a way to modify when the Supra shifts? The reason I ask is because in Normal mode it shifts too soon (in too high of a gear for my liking), and in Sport-mode it shifts too late for moderate acceleration (if I was on a track, Sport-mode would be fine). I suppose I haven't really tested it completely but if there is a way to modify it-I would. On the highway you can hear the transmission strain when casually accelerating in too high of a gear (8) when only going 50-65 mph (The supra fails to downshift for a smoother, efficient, and agile experience). I manually shift every gear just because the auto-shifting isn't the best experience in both modes.

Get the MHD wireless adapter port. It will take 5 sec or less to read and write the code on bummercode.

Appreciate all your detailed content and big fan of your page! I coded the sports+ in yesterday and on first start up after using bimmercode, my idle felt a little rough/boggie. This morning, same thing, a little bumpy on idle, not like usual. Has this ever happened to you? Thanks!

The XtraBoost setting is a mode on BMW hybrid/electric vehicles, so I doubt it’ll have any affect on the Supra!

Do you know which setting config the exhaust valve in the sport individual? Engine or transmission? I want my car to have everything in normal but leaving the valve on so I can hear the pops all the time.

I just attempted the Sport+ coding on my '22 Supra. But, when I got to step #2, 3008 FES was not an option in the list. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks...

I set my car to default to individual sport when I start the car. I then configured Sport Plus for engine and transmission as the default in my Individual Sport option. Still not sure if it’s placebo, but the car feels like it up and downshifts faster.

Any idea if this works on the J29 Supra?

The sport+ transmission is mostly for auto shifting, it will downshift more aggressively. On my Z4 m40i, it doesn't pop as much in sport mode compared to plus. Definitely a noticeable difference in Z4's

Prior design widebidy kit is a render, not a production piece. (As of now) only parts they sell for Supra are lip, ss extensions and diffuser

Hey man, opinions on going with either the mrk 5 or m240i? Genuinely love the mrk 5 and I love the attention it gets, but I also really enjoy how simple and clean m240s are. Will for sure be tuning either cars and going for power. Anyone have any suggestions on what the better car would be? I’m aware of the similarities, just haven’t driven either but will probably test drive both next week or sometime soon. Just asking for anyone’s suggestions

Veepeak trash, it doesnt allow you to access all options. I used to have veepeak. I had to buy a obdlink and was able to access to option.

Is xHP not an option for your Supra? Have it on my M240i and made an INCREDIBLE difference by removing the torque limiters and increasing the clamping force.

Jon, get a G82 M4 with an ADRO kit 🔥. I love my MT Supra and this package CES will be offering is exactly what I’m looking for power wise. Just wish I could get 600hp on pump gas because I’m not super stoked on having to do an E blend or meth injection.

The extra boost comments appear entry didn’t code it…I coded it and drove it…it adds boost to my stock Supra a91. It was very aggressive! I drive my car like it was made to and its not the same car…I just did it as I type….wakes up an already nice car
