Coding: By a kid, for kids | Krish Mehra | TEDxKentState
In the past 50 years, we have gone from using computers that filled full air-conditioned rooms, to having tablets that fit in the palms of our hands. Advances in hardware and software have led to this revolutionary innovation in technology. Krish wants to share the importance of kids learning to program, to fuel the next wave of innovation.
My name is Krish Mehra, and I am 11 years old and I am in sixth grade. When I was eight years old, I became interested in coding. Since then, I taught myself multiple coding languages including HTML, Java, Python and Swift. This has lead me to create two apps that have been published on the iOS App Store.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

@Shambhavi Chaudhary how could I help you? PS: I just saw my comment, it should be "I'm studying software engineering" rather than "I'm a software engineer". Anyway, I'm a 2nd year CSE undergrad student, and I would love to help you, in case I could.

@Shambhavi Chaudhary first of all when it comes to learning coding basics, it doesn't matter much which language you choose to start from - Python (easy to learn, bcz of huge inbuilt functionalities), Java (will take a little time to learn, and will clear out most of the basic programming concepts, variety of use) and C++ (this also would take time to learn, but used mostly in competitions). Long story short, I would suggest you to learn Java. And as far me as the resources is concerned, I don't prefer reading books, rather search on KZread, and you'll find some 4-6 hours of Java Tutorial videos, that would give you a perfect start.

Now I am 15 y/o and I have been coding since age 10. I have taught my self Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, CSS and HTML and I just want to say coding is easier if you think it is easy all you need is to be logical.

I just found a minimalistic C++ 3D Game Engine as a single text file which I plan to soon add other text files that to do what is far more complicated such as texture mapping mainly for Android. What I most likely will also feature is a Python framework to prevent syntax errors from very much slowing down our productivity.

LowCode frameworks coupled with drag-and-drop can make it far more easier for most people to create any type of software which also prevent every typos.

@@destiny_02 But... there's no need to write any code to create the type of app we want... and can even efficiently write 1000 lines of code a second without any errors just by saying what exactly what we want it to do. Not sure what there is to disagree about unless you can manually type 1000 words a second without any error.
@destiny_02
2 жыл бұрын
@@ThankYouESM there is a reason why all apps are not made using lowcode drag and drop. Because it lacks flexibility. Your app will be a generic and won't have any uniqueness. Also you can't make them do specific purposes (eg. decode a custom video format or create a bitcoin miner). They are just too generic and also lack the ability to be manually optimized, so will always be slower than a handwritten version;
