Code enforcement HUNTED ME DOWN to SAVE homeowner from a VIOLATION

DID I BITE OF MORE THEN I CAN CHEW? When I was mowing a yard a few weeks ago the code enforcement guy told me about this property right here and said The homeowner of this house was going through a little bit of a hard time and wanted to see if I could save them from getting a city violation! I went to check it out and see what I could do. I ended up spending 2 days at this property and barely put a dent in the yard so this video is me coming back to make this neglected yard a beautiful home again! Alot of surprises along the way, let me know what you think of the transformation!! LOVE YALL!!
Here's when I first pulled up to this house and started to knock it out, The homeowner explains this houses dark past (part 1) • This HOUSE has a DARK ...

You'll be joining a good pack of Good Samaritans, like Al Baldez in this video, or also the owner of this other channel SB Mowing who mows and does water pressure finish as well.... There's also a man who does tours around the 50 US states and started a movement called Young Men Raising Lawn Care. He challenges kids - boys or girls- to volunteer to do 50 yards free for the veterans, elderly and single parents in their neighborhoods. His organisation provides them the mower and accessories they need. The kids do it on their time, between a few months, a year or even two years. They can pledge as a team of 2 or 3 as well. Some of them have been recognized by their local news and or city officials. Soooo you'd be doing an awesome addition to the volume of goodwill on that field !!! Really hoping you'll do it, I suggest dropping some of the news on social media as well. Does not need to be as sophisticated as the 3 examples I cited above. Why ? Because You got inspired to step up and serve also. You will inspire others as well... And more kindness will make more people relieved of their yard maintenance problems You never know who you'll be inspiring. In advance, bravo for your initiative 😊

It's a risk though. Get caught doing it and lawfully, everybody is entitled to not have to follow the rules any longer. Nearby here code enforcement was slacking off with an illegal dwelling reasoning the boomers inside needed help. It burned down. Two fatalities, three people sueing the city because the boomers being dead and their estates being penniless aren't going to pay for the damages the fire caused. Those involved are probably getting fired, but at best receive formal reprimands that means no raise for a couple years and forget about promotion. I've always found the most human method is to best strict. People will fix their problems instead of those getting so big they get killed by the problems, metaphorically or literally.

I will say after connecting with neighbors near me, some r just disabled or elderly or working too many jobs with not enough help. But some are angry with something else going on (mental illness, addiction, cognitive decline, SOBs) and it isn’t safe to go on their property let alone start helping. Paranoia and distrust has definitely picked up it’s really sad. Rest of us watch while someone on vacation, grab trash bins off street, shovel when it’s snowing, leave garden vegetables out, let kids play outside unimpeded, don’t freak out if a dog gets loose or barks, don’t mind when a family party brings 20 cars. When neighbor’s wife died, checked in with him. Huge storm took down bunch of trees all the chainsaw dads came out lol. The little things make a huge difference in someone’s life and makes it a safer neighborhood.

We don't have the Spanish Moss problem here, but having to use an air compressor to blow out all the sprinkler lines in October so that they don't freeze is probably something you don't have to deal with. Every region has its own gardening challenges. Look for opportunity to be of service to others who are in need. Be a better person in general. Kindness is contagious. Amazed - That I spend hours watching a guy in Florida mow and clean up yards and enjoy the videos! I look forward to next week and Part 3! Blessed - Brings a reminder to be grateful for all the blessings in my life, so many people are really struggling and times seem to be getting worse all over. Hopeful - Despite all the negativity in our world, this is a reminder that there are really good, caring folks everywhere and when we focus on the positive aspects we can all accomplish more and change things for the better. Thankful - For a guy like Al that can lift others by his spirit and example.

So glad I found your channel and now listen to the sound of your lawncare tools and commentaries. I’ve watched all of them. Who knew that watching someone do yard makeovers could become addictive? Thanks for all that you do for those who need a helping hand without passing judgment. Love the Cut it up music video! Nearing 1 million subscribers….awesome!

Oh please....you really actually believe Al (or anyone doing the same thing) would have done it if they didn't have the income from their KZread videos? How terribly naive. This "I'll do it for free" is false chivalry. They DON'T do it for free, it just means the owner of the property is not the one paying them, but they are the ones being exploited for the false "good Samaritan" act - KZread pays this guy for his work.

@@banjomir519 An extremely pessimistic view of this but understandable. It's less exploitation and more win-win for everyone involved. Landscaping jobs aren't exactly cheap, anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars especially a job like this one with the amount of work that's needed and the size of the yard. Let's just ignore that for now and say you needed major work done and couldn't afford it. Someone, that's recognized by a lot of people for that specific type of work, came up to you and said they'll do it for free. All they want is to film it so they can upload it and that's how they'll get their income for the job they're doing for you. Would it still feel like a scummy practice to you? Honestly? They could just as easily go into the nice neighborhoods with the well maintained homes and make their content there for less work and the same amount of views but they don't. They go for people who are actually in need and do it there. If that by itself isn't a good thing then I don't know what is

You sure make all that hard work look so easy by speeding up the videos. Just seeing you jump fences, crawling on yout knees, pull all the vines, picking each piece of moss off the fence an cutting each branch out of your way. All the while getting into spiders, wasps and snakes. I saw the one around that tree in the front yard. You always get down to every detail. You go Spencer. Clean up and beautify another neighborhood. Your hard work is appreciated by all. God bless you!

That house would look 10 times better without that chain link fence. I know everything costs money but a small picket fence or no fence at all would be so nice. You did a LOT of work. Heck with a few months of regular yard maintenance just to tame the grass back down and that place would be beautiful. Also that Ventrac machine is a BEAST.. The way it ate some of those small trees amazed me. The attachments are very cool too. Its like the perfect size for small to medium work like you handle. Love seeing someone reach out to help those in need.

I've only read a few comments, so maybe this was addressed: bless that code enforcement officer for holding off and writing this property owner a citation. I used to live in Jacksonville, Florida and in certain parts of the city enforcement officers quite regularly inspect and cite properties...no mercy. And if the city cleans up a property, I can tell you from experience, it can be quite expensive. As someone who also watches this young man's videos, I applaud his true Christian spirit.
