Amazing video. Schiaparelli was a genius. The exhibition in Paris decorative art museum was wonderful and inspiring. She was so far ahead of her time.

I'm reading, "The Last Collection" a novel about the rivalry between Schiaparelli and Chanel by Jeanne Mackin, and I just had to find some videos featuring her and her amazing work. Thank you for this darling video so that I could see some of the designs she was talking about in the book.💗 I love where the new collection is going.

The first time I went to see a fashion exhibition at the MET was in 2012 when they did impossible conversations between Miucia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli and I was blown away by both designers. The met need to do a solo exhibition on her. Her design in person are incredible

schiaparelli was way above chanels leaugue - she was definitely in a league of her own - i think iris van herpen is her modern equivelant

About me the Marco Zanini era was fantastic, artistic and represented a good continuation and a comprehension of Schiaparelli original project. I preferred in general him more than Daniel Roseberry superficial reading of the brand.

always about officer safety 😂 what about freaking citizen safety he’s the one with the police costume and all the toys that come with it

sadly i think your poll is biased only because i hate to say it but,,,,the basic girlies live for Chanel .Its understandable as its one of the first brands we covet for the sheer fact of its exculsiviity or someones grandma had something yada yada. Elsa is pure art, coco was revolutionary for different and also terrible reasons. Theres no Nazi past in Elsas book. Elsa isnt for everyone thats what makes her lower on the ratings scale, you must have an eye for surrealisim and avant garde, and sadly more people would covet the classic flap bag, than one from schaparelli and that is honestly not surprising. She was meant to be worn and swallowed by the masses and i guess she succeded..

Sorry it's Chanel....I know Schiaparelli was also amazing - nobody says who's better YSL or Balanciaga - so why do we need to pick just one great influential woman designers in any case? Tsk Tsk....love this video but then I tend to like most if not all...G
