Do you only need to use cal mag when buffering at the start or all the way through the grow?

Can the buffering be done by epsom and gypsum salt solutions?

Sphagnum peat moss has a natural pH and is easier to use.

How large is the difference in the structure of CANNA COGr and CANNA Coco?

How long do you need to leave the coco coir in the CalciumMag solution in order for it to do the job? do you really need to do a double buffer?

What if i dissolve some eggshells in vinegar and then neutralize it?

When I soak and rinse cocopeat with plain water, why not add gypsum or lime. It contains calcium which completely removes salt(sodium) from the cocopeat. Then add calcium nitrate/gypsum/lime with Magnesium sulfate (Ca+Mg) to removes potassium. Will that be an alternative process for cocopeat buffering?

its still a bit mind boggling tbh. what does it mean for the grower? if he used canna coco a and b does the grower need to add calimag into canna coco coir? make it simple please!

Did a grow with their substrate. Went surprisingly well. Harvested 170g under a 125W LED light. I did encountered cal/mag deficiencies at the beginning on some plants, kept my pH between 6.3 and 6.8 and added cal/mag to every watering and the symptoms stopped. I kept having those issues after each repotting which suggests that their coco might not be that perfectly buffered but after 2 or 3 waterings with a solid cal/mag dosage it went back to normal every time. Good quality product, I would recommend it, growing under LED probably didn’t help too. Cal/mag mandatory, pre buffing preferred, that’s the only thing to know about it.

I haven't used it yet from seed to 4 weeks of flower. I used it right out of the bag

Cation is pronounced cat - ion, a positively charged ion. Anion is pronounced an - ion, a negatively charged ion. Just thought everyone would like to know. Ian.

Eggshells

I’m also using the same coco my plants a little over a week old now and have grown there 2nd sets of leafs and on to the 3rd ones but the new leafs are yellowish and I ph fead them a day before can someone help me out !

What are you feeding them? What are they planted in? What lights are you using? What are your environmental conditions?

When my plants are a lighter green in colour what is the problem

Chris why the need to call others idiots? Dank isn’t wrong. If he is in coco he may very well have a cal/mag deficiency. Also, idk how you can diagnose a nitrogen deficiency with “light green plants” if your whole plant is uniformly lighter than it should be and is an actual deficiency then it wouldn’t be nitrogen. Nitrogen deficiency is a mobile deficiency and will make itself known by the lower half of the plant being affected.

How about save a ton of money and buy Calcium chloride crystals and Magnesium sulfate crystals and make you own calcium and magnesium solutions (but keep them in two different jugs or they'll condensate ) but you can add them to like 5 gallons of water and pour it over the coco ( scrap a little rust in too for iron )
