You gotta stop having your clutch engaged while slowing down.. learn to rev match and let the engine brake for you.. the ninja 400 is super forgiving and should be easy to learn.. holding it in while braking thennnn shifting down a few gears is an easy combo for increasing the heck out of your stopping distance , especially in emergency situations that can lead to an unfortunate crash.. stay safe bro

@@saiem644 you don’t sound dumb im honestly a beginner myself too but taking the MSF and daily riding my bike this past year has helped me a lot.. to answer your question tho, yes! Simply said thats all you have to do.. i personally recommend finding a safe and decently spacious parking lot and work on slowing down at different speeds as fast but smooth as possible.. it helps get a feel for how your bike might react to certain situations you’ll find yourself in.. people don’t know how to drive and we as bikers are invisible.. ride safe 🤙🏽

you can also just brake and downshift while ''pumping'' the clutch if you know what i mean. dont know the word in english but. basicly just downshift as you would but do it as you slowdown and faster

About a month ago I bought my first bike. I had classes about 2 weeks after that so naturally I started practicing before on my bike. I did the same thing, hold in the clutch and coast to a stop using only brakes. Then when I took the class, that was one of the first things they told me not to do. So now I always downshift to achieve max stopping power instead of coasting!

Just bought a 2023 ninja 400 last week loads of fun. I can see why people get bored but also not, like yea you WANT more speed but like for what it is learning on it for experience etc it’s perfect for a few years

you will 100% need to replace the clutch springs they are 20$ and easy thing todo yourslef other than that i had 0 problems it was amazing

I concur 💯 I have a 2024 zx6r and I am definitely fine with stock pipes! I have 50% hearing lost from the military and I still hate loud noise!

POV is improving . Quick tip: Put your gear in neutral whenever you're in a stoplight. It helps to avoid early wornout of your clutch lining

@@tsharabi4 Only do this if there is already a car behind you that is stopped. If you put your bike in neutral and need to get out of the way of a car coming up behind you quickly you won't be able to get out of the way safely

@@tsharabi4 don’t ever do this it’s extremely dangerous if you get into an accident from behind. Leave it in gear unless you can be fully confident that you aren’t going to get hit from behind while being stopped at a light.

This is horrible advice. Would you tell someone not to use the brakes because using them will wear them out? You will not wear your clutch out by doing this. Always stay in 1st gear at a stop in case the moron behind you is too busy texting or livestreaming to stop. If you have a minimum or 1 car, preferably 2, behind you, sure you can shift to N and chill for a bit.

Really awful exhaust sound. WHY? Putting loud after market exhausts and then using ear plugs because the exhaust is too loud is STUPID beyond belief.
