Just like my cat, when I need to take him to the vet it's a bit of a struggle getting him into the carrier, but once he's there & I take him out for the vet to examine him, all he wants is to get back in the carrier. 😅

Dan is a wonderful Dad and Max knows he’s loved. These vet visits are so important but so scary for this little guy. Glad it’s over for awhile and we can just go back to the “Hiiii”!😢💛

The most suprizing thing about this is the way the nurse was holding his mouth, Max didnt bite her

I think that this is the first time we've ever had a video of Max entering the carrier.

No matter how many years pets go to the vet it's always scary. My dogs every single one 15 to 17 years getting toenails done reaction always the same . This vet and her technician was very gentle with Max , and know their skills well.

My late cockatiel didn't like the vets especially as he got older when he had to have is nails and beak trimmed he started to have seizures. He had a good life he was 26 years when we had to have the little man put to sleep. @@rhondaz356 Good morning Rhonda my beautiful beloved friend ❤️ Wow we never got to see Max getting his nails trimmed before, Max really is a brave boy and these vet technicians are really sweet and professional to our beloved Max 🥰 my former husband and I used to have 38 pets, ❤️😇 ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats , mice a big Angora tuxedo cat 🐇🐀🦦🐁🐈 we had a huge house ❤️ 🏠 so I became an expert on nail trimming, my veterinarian taught me how to do it, at first I was so nervous about hitting the quick the vein in their nails, but my vet told me you wanted to be a veterinarian when you are a young girl so now's your chance, haha 😂❤️😇 but seriously I became very good at it, I would cut my neighbor's pet nails ❤️🤗❤️ it was such a labor of love 🤩 ever since I was a young nine-year-old girl and had my first pet a pair of guinea pigs 🧡💛💚💜❤️ Tony and genie their names were 🥰 I fell in love with the treasures that are pets ❤️ later on in life my mom had some big birds and that's how I started to fall in love with birds 🐦🦜🦚🦅🦉 Rhonda my beautiful friend I hope you have a fabulous day, speaking of God treasures I hope your precious baby Nate ❤️😇 is doing fabulous give him tons of hugs for me, and love and blessings to your beautiful family, of course to you my beautiful cherish treasured friend 😘

LOL I have seen many a dog having to be dragged into the vet and then attempting to exit at high speed when the visit's over. Dragging their owners right out the door.

Bless his whittle birdie heart. No wonder Max is traumatized from his vet visits. Little guy does not realize that what happens here keeps him healthy, happy, active, and alive. You do a great job, Dan, taking care of this little guy. Thank you for sharing him with us. 💗🫶

I never realized how big Max was until he was held by the Vet Tech and we could see him in scale. Wow! Majestic boy!

Brave devoted vet techs! So creative, holdng a bird that that way, disabling them from biting or flying. Max showed his beautiful wings while being weighed. it was difficult to hear Max give a shriek and squawk but we know it’s just because Max was angry Dan broke the “No Toe -Trimming” law. 😂 Please tell the techs Dan thank you and it was fascinating watching their mad skills!

Pretty remarkable that the tech put her hand on Max's beak. It didn't seem like she pressed hard, just enough to keep his head still.

OMG! Finally Max's fans get an inside peak at what happens at the vet😊. Video of the century 😊.

Not only stressful for the patient but stressful for the owner too. Well done to both Max and Dan. Great job by veterinary team.

It's the same story with a cat. It's a challenge to get it in the carrier before going to the vet, but once the treatment is over, the cat is eager to get back in the carrier, because it knows it's going home again! 😉😻

I couldn't believe it when l read the title, Dan. Now we finally see how poor birdie boy Max has his toenails done. And now it's obvious why you don't do this yourself. Despite Max's distress, l liked watching this video, because of you talking, Dan. Having a conversation with the doctor and the assistant. Takes quite some minutes to get it done! And Max got to let it be known he doesn't approve! Poor Max, now we also understand why you get so upset, when you see the carrier comd out. But you were brave! And back home, you and your Daddy will have extra cuddle time. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy the rest of the day! 🧡 ❤️ 😻

I hope you and yours are all well still! We here in Flanders are, fortunately. I couldn't believe it, either! The trimming of Max's toenails went totally different than what l had imagined. I thought Max would be wrapped in a towel with just his feet sticking out and that that was then the reason why he had such ruffled feathers afterwards. 😉😄 In any case, those 2 ladies sure knew how to handle it. But it is truly stressful for poor Max. That was obvious. It won't be easy on Dan either. I'm sure he would do it differently if he could somehow. **These two ladies are very nice, at ease, and so professional, even letting Dad Dan film this.💖 However, from our Max's viewpoint, I understand his fear. No wonder he's so stressed, with the noise, and not being in control. It has nothing to do with the vet and her assistant's obvious kindness. My question... HOW did the vet's assistant possibly get our Max in that hold?😳 That towel must get a lot of usage... Hoping Dad Dan, our treasured boys, and all of us enjoy a STRESS-FREE day.. 🤠💘🤠💘🤠💘🙏🏻🕊🥰🥰🐈🙏🏻

But I think he likes to feel close to humans, physically close, and that made him kind of like it even though he had to endure the nail trimming.

The first time I've seen Max actually want to get into the carrier - and it was so fast!

It's so cool to see Max get his little toes trimmed! Poor boy, he wants to be in charge! Don't worry Birdie Boss, you're ok and are in good hands!

Thanks for taking us with you, Dan. I so wish Max could understand he could bypass this if he let his dear Daddy do it.❤

Awww, Max... I'd be terrified too, if I was held like I was being kidnapped. I know the vets have to, for their safety. Max deserves some celery, some carrot juice, a banana, and lots of love, for taking that so well.

I loved the way they got him to run into the carrier.

One time my bird was getting his nails done, he slipped away, the door was open and he flew out into the store room where they had high warehouse like ceilings. Oh what a day that was. Good job, Max! You’d think they’d learn after years of the same routine what’s going to happen and just submit to it so they could get out quickly, lol. The ladies did a great job. ❤

I'm guessing he at least once had a traumatic vet visit & claw trim before Dan adopted him which has stayed with him. Can't blame the poor little guy.

Poor, little Max! ❤ Now I know why he hates it so much and especially that sound. It doesn't hurt but it must be very stressful for him. Anyway he is a very brave boy. ❤️😊💪

Wow that was neat to watch! The whole time I was wondering how she was going to let Max go when they were done and if he would try to bite her, so that was a surprise ending.

I went for a manicure once (treated myself as was invited to a black tie event). I will never go again. They used a vibrating polisher on my nails and I absolutely couldn’t stand it. Felt your pain there, Mr. Max ❤

Max was somewhat cooperative, nobody got bit,or blood drawn from a scratch, but he definitely was not happy about the situation, and he voiced that quite clearly. He will need time to recover from this experience and get back into his normal self.

Ooohh Max, poor Max, so indefense But, hey, Max, they do it for your good health and the vets are so loving and caring, and also beautiful ladies, Max Come on, cheer up, Max You need to have your nails done, just as hoomans need The vet treated you really well and lovingly I think he gets as scared as we, when we go to the dentist, when we hear those strange noises of the machines they use 😅 but indeed they are doing all their best for our health
