When I actually connect to see live feed/snap, it just buffers… and buffers and buffers and buffers and keeps buffering and it buffers some more. Any ideas?

But can you actually see the license plate numbers in the footage at any point? And if so how close do you need to be to record a license plate number

yes, you can change the screensaver if you don't want to see the LCD screen.

Did you get this figured out? Mine quit working (GPS on camera) after a year and now the gps symbol stays white and won't connect..

The app barely works. Can’t operate the camera from the app even though it says I have to. Can’t add anything to favorites because it says it’s not recording while it clearly is. The whole thing is junk

This is the most expensive camera you can get at wal mart. The reviews concur w your conclusion that it’s good until they mention the app which lacks. Has there been an update to the app ??

I just bought this product.. it works great although does the screen always stay on or does it dim and record??

Would it work to leave recording in the car when it is closed and nobody drives? My idea is to use it as a surveillance camera and monitoring in the car in case a thief wants to steal or scratch the car, and film the miscreant ...

Yes that is 100% possible but you can't just plug it in the cigarette port for that. To do this you would have to order a hardwiring kit for dash cams, then hardwire this to your car. Then you could have 24/7 surveillance.

Yeah if your 12v port doesn't turn off when your car is turned off, it recorded a storm that rolled through the other night
