When I started watching Cobra Kai I thought the story was centered on Johnny as well. Until Season 3 happened and that's when I stopped watching it because at that point I already knew where this was going. Look man I've already seen Larusso's story in the Karate Kid Movies, Cobra Kai is supposed to be the other side of the spectrum.

The only way I could bring myself to get behind Carmen’s pregnancy is if it used to set up a proper ending to the Johnny/Carmen story that is consistent with the show’s quintessential underlying principle of Yin and Yang. Setting them up for some “happily ever after” would be a huge disservice to the show. It would be better if their relationship ultimately ends with a bittersweet conclusion.

If the show was consistent, Johnny would have died in the S5 finale. The fact he didn't invalidates the whole show. Stingray was beaten within an inch of his life, and Johnny had it even worse than Stingray. Four master senseis going at him, after being given the OK by Silver to kill.. I don't care what ultrasound photo fell out of his pocket, that's pure rubbish. Even if, by some higher power, he did survive, he certainly shouldn't have been able to stand after that.

It's like they just given up even developing a coherent, semi believable story, and just said screw it, will just go with fan service non-stop action pack scenes. I actually am not sure I want another season, its gotten so absolutely cartoonish. Shame, first 3 seasons it was something special, last two been pretty disappointing. This season just trash.

My only gripe with season 5 was Carmen’s pregnancy because it’s so cheesy, awkward and obnoxious. However, that is subject to change, depending on how it pans out next season. I felt the story would've been better if it focused more on the consequences of Miyagi-Do losing the All-Valley, seeing Silver expanding more dojos. We only saw him take over Topanga karate but not other dojos like Locus Valley (which Daryl Vidal was the star student of), focused less on Johnny and Carmen's pregnancy (I get the writers wanted to show their lives outside of karate, but I felt the whole pregnancy storyline detracted from the whole karate war aspect of the season).

Unpopular opinion on the Chozen’s versus Silver fight. While I think the fight itself was awesome on its own. On a story level I felt it was incredibly rushed. I feel the main reason they included this fight is because all of the fans plus the creators themselves wanted to see this happen. I remember after they announced that Chozen would return for season five, all everyone talked about, was if Chozen could beat Terry Silver. And while I feel that this fight was going to happen at some point, and I was all for it. I feel that they should’ve taken more time to build up the beef between the two. Because now it just feels like he’s only fighting Silver because Daniel can’t beat him. And therefore he needs Chozen to fight that battle for him. But then the writers remember that Silver’s main opponent is Daniel and therefore, just use Chozen as a tool to weaken Silver so Daniel can beat him in the end. I would’ve been cool if they built up the beef a little bit more between the two of them. Then maybe not have silvers immediate downfall happened this season. But then said the steaks for an even higher fight between Chozen and Silver. Then it would’ve felt like the stakes had been risen and the fight would make more sense and would be 1000 times more awesome. Don’t get me wrong I thought it was a good fight, and I totally was for a showdown between these two. But I feel like they simply rushed it for fan service.

The show has wayyy tooo many characters which is why some of the storylines feel rushed and messy. It because they are trying to mix so many elements into one plot line. The show has also become unrealistic. Teenagers are fighting in malls, arcades, on the soccer field, drive in's and pools! HOW DO NONE OF THESE KIDS GET INTROUBLE! and Whenever they do get introuble its the minimum. Tory attempted to kill someone and all that happens is that shes on probation? but, when Robby almost killed someone he gets juvie. How does one character get more introuble than another one for doing THE SAME THING????! It would make sense if Robby got probation because he has the support of a rich man who is well-liked by the valley but, Tory doesnt have anyone to rely on so why did she get away with a slap on the wrist AND WHY HASN'T ANYONE DESTROY KENNY'S GOOFY SELF BY NOW? Imagine a 13 year old stepping up to 17 year olds trying to instigate a fight. I kept laughing when he tried to step up to Hawk, Robby and Miguel.

Thank you for verbalizing what bothered me so much about this Season. We already had an intense plot with the Johnny, Robby and Miguel storyline. Trauma, forgiveness, father son relationships, father figure relationships there are so many rich themes in this storyline and SOOOO much could have been done with that. These boys went through significant trauma- Miguel being nearly paralyzed by Robby. Robby dealing with the estrangment from his father and feeling like his father chose Miguel over him. And Johnny having to finally face his own demons and step up to the plate as a father. All of this was brushed aside for the pointless Silver vs Daniel plot. I genuinely don't care about it and feel like I'm missing something in the fanbase as to why I'm supposed to care. It would have been entertaining as a subplot. It disgusted me how Miguel and Robby's real valid pain was brushed aside as petty teenage angst that they needed to get over....but Daniel's storyline was taken extremely seriously. That whole sequence when everyone bowed to him made me roll my eyes. And it's not like I don't like Daniel. The ironic part is....he could have been used in the Miguel, Robby and Johnny story arc. His character could have been developed in this storyline too. He plays a huge part in it....him being a former mentor to Robby and him having a blossoming mentor/possible father in law relationship with Miguel. Hell....the whole story was supposed to be about forgiveness and redemption. Why not have Johnny and Daniel finally say the words "I'm sorry" to each other....that way they can model behavior for Miguel and Robby to bury the hatchet. But nah....we got this bloated mess of a season instead.

I love this show but I feel like this season is the only season that I feel is the weirdest and weakest. My main issue was with mike Barnes, sure the internet over hyped his character too much but he was a massive let down as a character. He had maybe 9 minutes total of screen time and really served no purpose. They basically just introduce him in the third episode, tell us he owns a furniture shop, gets in a silly fight with chozen that was strictly for comedic relief, gives Daniel terry’s old attorney’s number (which ends up failing), and then comes back at the final episode and gets knocked out in less than 2 minutes 😂 I wasn’t really a huge Mike Barnes fan to begin with but this show so far has done really well with returning characters such as kreese, silver, and chozen, but Mike Barnes so far is the only huge letdown as a returning character. My main issue was Carmen’s pregnancy; it feels so cheesy, awkward and obnoxious. For god’s sake, this is Cobra Kai, not Modern Family 🫤. Johnny has financial, drinking and personal issues despite his growth through the series and any child rearing skills could easily be too little too late. He and Carmen are rushing things (forced development) despite claim they wanted to take things slow. I believe it would be a huge disservice to the show if Johnny and Carmen’s story arc was set up like some “happily ever after”. It would be more appropriate to stick with the show’s quintessential principle of Yin and Yang by ultimately ending Johnny and Carmen’s story arc with a bittersweet conclusion.

@@joshuasworldtour484 It’s cheap writing and cliche too. However, I could find myself getting behind it eventually, but only if it is used to set up that ‘bittersweet conclusion’. Tragedies are an important part of the storyline just like any other pop culture series (I.e. Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc) and Cobra Kai is no exception. There needs to some kind of moment of despair next season but I feel any character dying in the context of a fight (including Kreese or Silver) would be way too dark. I think Carmen having a miscarriage or some other complications would be just the sufficient amount of darkness necessary to complete the Yin and Yang cycle.

Johnny is not a bad person and he has come a long way as a person and sensei, but he’s not ready to do his fair share of parenting because he doesn’t exactly have his sh** together and it would leave Carmen to do much more than her fair share of the ‘heavy lifting’ with carrying, finances and emotional support. They basically were pushed to the side. They don't even really do any thing with Miguel anymore.... He had no real story this season, outside breaking up with Sam and pawning to get her back. Boring... Even him going down to Mexico was pointless.... Did they need to make 2 episodes out of it? They could have cut that down to a few scenes. Interesting with how two of the show's main characters who initially restarted Cobra Kai in Johnny, along his first, and top student Miguel were only part of the dojo for the first two seasons, and nothing more. That was back when we pretty much rooted for them, when it's sensei, and students were for more likable. That while the dojo itself has pretty much taken a backseat to both Daniel & Johnny's ones, to the point where you now kind of wonder why the show is still even called Cobra Kai these days too? Despite Kenny's fluke win over Hawk during the Seiki Takei trials, it didn't even have a true clear cut top male student for the fifth season while the C.K. empire was getting bigger, and better under Terry Silver's ownership, once Robby officially left and went back to Miyagi-Do. Although there still might be some loose ends left to tie up here and there, it's interesting as to why they haven't yet made an official announcement regarding Season 6 yet. That while also leaving Cobra Kai in the dust with not really knowing who is going to actually lead it, while seemingly all of it's students ditched the place at the end of Season 5 once they found the truth about Terry Silver bribing the referee during the All Valley Tournament in the fourth season (along with Stingray then confessing the truth about who assaulted him) as well. It's also a bit of a shame that they don't really have many more past major legacy characters to bring back at this point, while the next and last one who we were all waiting for in Mike Barnes had very limited screen time when he finally came back at last too.

A lot people coming out of nowhere to save the day reminded me a lot of the Lorenzo Lamas series, “Renegade,” which looking back on I can’t believe I used to like. Introducing the storyline of Terry Silver reminded me a lot of Negan’s storyline in The Walking Dead, just way too big (The Walking Dead was already losing me by that point). We've seen a good amount of his character development in Seasons 1-4, as well as the consequences of his actions. I think the problem is not necessarily the writting decisions but more that terry silver is just too sugestive in terms of the way he impacts his environment when involved. He is a great character and I really like him, but it is always obviously that sneaky evil that will be defeated by heroism. I hope that the return of john kreese brings a bit of that season 1-3 charme back and maybe also some cobra kai students that match miguel, hawk, robby etc... When the line between good and evil is not that blurry, the character dynamics (miguel and johnny, robby and daniel etc.) always get a bit undermined by the big war that they have to prepare for as a group. Of course the characters are too developed for it to become too greyish, atleast on the protagonists side, but I still hope to see more complex character dynamics. Of course it is about family and character development but I would like for the happy ending to not only be about the characters being all cool with each other, but also about johnny getting cobra kai back and maybe miguel winning the sekai taikai as a cobra kai mirroring season 1. This way, cobra kai is not only a project title, but really holds onto the meaning that cobra kai can be something good or bad depending on who is in charge and how he teaches. This whole myagi fang thing is a nice joke towards johnny being over the top 100% american and also a nice team up to defeat the big, evil and rich end boss, but on the long run, them both embracing each others teachings while still working for two differnt camps just works better and feels less crowded in my opinion. Terry silver worked fine has that typical 2.0 season 4 villain that ups the stakes but is also very suggestive on how the plot will develop. I dont really mind, though like before mentioned, I would have corrected some things here and there but still overall I really enjoy this show. For a nice conclusion though, I still think that it needs to get a bit back to its roots and take the karate aspect more seriously and not only to overfocus on it being a weapon in the battle of good vs. evil. Showing the characters really training passionately and not only when something calls for urgency, showing techniques, the complexity of a mentor student bond, not only potraying cobra kai as this big evil that needs to be taken down, those would be some aspects that the writers should consider and come back to for the conclusion to be more satisfying in my opinion.

Johnny trying to make up for ‘lost time’ by raising a newborn with a lady he had only been dating a few months is not a good arc. There are so many reasons why it’s a mess and the cons vastly outweigh the pros. Johnny’s age, drinking problem, financial situation and being this late in the game when it comes to trying to learn child rearing skills is a recipe for failure, again. It would be a disservice to the series if Johnny and Carmen’s story arc finished like some totally unoriginal and cliche “happily ever after”. Consistent with the show’s underlying principle of Yin and Yang, it would only be fitting and ideal if Johnny and Carmen’s story arc ultimately ends with a bittersweet conclusion, and that is the only way I could bring myself to enjoy this part of the story, in the end.

He is such a great & charismatic actor & turns every scene that he is in gold! Hopefully, the final 6 season will be more focused on Johnny!

@@jameslauder3984 I don't get why people hating on Season 5 it was actually great like they bought Mike Barnes and Jessica Andrews back. To me, this show does not deserve any negativity and I don't care if the show is cringe or kinda awkward like, people acting like this is the worst season or the show itself even if it is then don't watch, but there are some things I didn't like 1. Hawk lost to Kenny in the sekai taikai 2. I like the Miguel going to Mexico but it felt to short (should have last 3 to 4 episodes at least) 3. I didn't like that Shawn (Kenny's brother) didn't return 4. I didn't like that Mike Barnes had a little screen time (but I get that he didn't have a lot of screen time because his actor Sean Kanan had a shoulder injury so that's understandable). 5. Sam breaking up with Miguel cause she needed to think between karate and her personal life with Miguel, Moon and Yasmine and the rest of her friends. Then in episode 8 she sees Miguel kissing another girl and Sam cries like that's your fault you broke up with him not his. Like just because season 5 had a little ups and downs doesn't makes it the worst season in the series all of the seasons are great in my opinion even if the acting and writing is a bit off.

The show to me, has been this cheesy and kind of mid. Its unrealistic, silly, semi-decent ideas and concepts executed with as much effort as you can expect. I wish it was better, because they have good ideas but theyre just having fun with it. The random relationship drama is getting old. The random bad note thing making one or both of the people involved mad at each other, seems stupid miscommunication/misunderstanding/Holding a grudge. They could do better with that. Its so repetitive and all characters are like it and i get they all have issues and the main moral of the show is rivalries cause issues, but the characters who have gone through that continue to do it, except robby(payne) and demitri(with eli) Also you recaped a lot of the episodes expecting what to be wrong with it to "speak for itself" but its just the show. They've been this way. The issue goes deeper and its been known.

Great video and appreciate your point(s) of view 🔥 I do agree that this recent season of the show (and everything since the Season 2 School Fight Finale) has strayed from its original concept, (it being about Johnny Lawrence and Cobra Kai's perspective) but now that the whole Daniel-Silver/Sam-Tory/Robby-Miguel/Miguel looking for his biological father/Amanda thinks she knows what is best arcs are (hopefully) over, here is my hypothetical Season 6 Arc: I anticipate Season 6 to be the falling action/resolution/back to realism after the craziness that was/is Season 5 (be that the creators from the get-go planned the sixth season to be the final one) and the only way that I see this playing out is through The Sekai Taikai World Tournament. I hope "The Super Bowl of Karate" takes place on foreign soil (South Korea, perhaps) which would take the cast out of The Valley (finally!) and on the world stage. It will be so cool to see everyone out of their element and into a different metropolis and culture like Seoul, South Korea, for I feel that this may be the best approach for Season 6 after the intense drama that was/is Season 5. Furthermore, it never sat well with me that, outside of the occasional visit to Okinawa, Japan, majority of the Karate Kid/Cobra Kai Universe takes place in The Valley. The scenario also has me thinking that the international competition would be somewhat direct reflections and/or foils to Miguel, Robby, Sam, Tori, Hawk, and Demetri Of course, the gang has to be on 24/7 to make sure Johnny does not incite an international incident 🤣 With Silver imprisoned, Kim Da-Eun would take the "big bad" spot (but not really), for she is still yearning to preserve her family legacy. Terry Silver may be behind bars but he will play the shadow villain, for he has his associates and bountiful resources available on the outside. I am pretty sure Silver will pay for the best under-18 karate champion of the world to fight for Cobra Kai (ala Mike Barnes in KK3). Kreese returns in an anti-hero role this time, takes his vengeance against Terry by taking all his assets (somehow) and makes sure his former friend will rot in jail. Kreese will then try to be discreet (I am pretty sure the authorities are after him) in making final amends with Johnny (especially Johnny), Daniel, Tori, Robby, etc. It would also be interesting to witness Kreese possibly burying the hatchet of a decades-long grudge on behalf of his master, Kim Sun-Yung, with Chozen (who would be on behalf of his father, Sato) therefore bringing harmony to both dojos. I also hope that Kreese will ease Kim's heart and help preserve her family's legacy by opening a new dojo under "The Way of The Fist" moniker in South Korea, where subsequently Kreese will reside permanently and find solace (and escape from his criminal act(s) in America). I am sure that Hilary Swank's Julie Pierce will make her debut appearance in CK as she makes a trip from Boston (possibly a week of celebrating and/or commemorating the life of Mr. Miyagi). There, Julie will finally meet onscreen with Daniel and the rest of the cast and crew and assists Miyagi-Fang (particularly Sam, Tori, and Devon) to find true balance and harmony for the tournament before leaving back to Boston. Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen will continue to watch the progress of Miguel, Robby, Hawk, Demetri, Anthony, and possibly Kenny, whilst Mike Barnes, having restored his furniture business and then some (thanks to a certain Rembrandt painting), will be a major benefactor for Miyagi-Fang's trip to The Sekai Taikai World Tournament. I anticipate a bottle episode where the OG Karate Kids (including Amanda, Ali, Jessica, and Carmen) and the Kids of "Cobra Kai" separately hang out and hash out lingering tensions and plot holes before heading out to Korea. When the group gets to Korea, Chozen would be taken by surprise when Kumiko appears (on the behest of Daniel's call (and Chozen's drunken call 😏). We will finally see Chozen and Kumiko together. At the tournament, Sam will finally get her win over Tori in the Semi-Finals and subsequently, Devon will get her victory over Sam and be crowned champion. Kenny and Anthony will finally go up against one another but with mutual respect; Anthony will win. Demetri beats Anthony but loses to Hawk. The paid champ of Cobra Kai beats Hawk in the Semi-Final round and Robby will beat Miguel in the other Semi-Final round. Robbie will defeat Cobra Kai's champion to finally get his signature victory. Carmen, who is accompanying the trip, would go into labor immediately after the tournament and gives birth to a baby girl they will call Danielle 😉. The series ends with all the characters attending Johnny and Carmen's wedding with Peter Cetera's "Glory of Love" (1986) wrapping up the series Sidenote(s): 1) I do not care for Miguel's father to show up again. I do not see any point of having that in the plot. 2) Even if the creators decide to have Miyagi-Fang/Cobra Kai expats match up against the international competition at The Sekai Taikai World Tournament, there are some key matchups amongst said Miyagi-Fang and Cobra Kai expats that have to be made to settle some scores and lingering beef(s) before heading off for the tournament

My main gripe was Carmen’s pregnancy because it felt so cheesy, awkward and obnoxious. However, that is subject to change, depending on how it plays out. Johnny and Carmen both deserve ‘happy’ endings in the sense of reasonably favorable outcomes. But it would be a disservice to the show if Johnny and Carmen’s story arc finished with some dull, unoriginal “happily ever after” style of conclusion.

Like: -Very drunk Johnny being able take on 4 sensi's when Daniel and Chosen had to team up while they were sober just to take on one -The convenient in and out of Stingray who only appears for storyline convenient reasons -Finding Johnny much more interesting than Daniel (who many times just comes across as an entitled d&ck) -Some of the kids are repetitive and are starting to become annoying ...especially Sam who I wish would have far less screen time, and Kenny who is really just one note. -Female sensi who is supposed to be a bad ass sensi not demolishing both Sam and Tory as soon as they started fighting in ep 10 -Female sensi who is supposed to be a hardened leader not immediately taking control of the room when Cobra Kai and Myiagi-Wing (???) was fighting but instead just joined in as if she was just another teenager -The Miguel Father storyline going absolutely nowhere -The all powerful Daniel-San -I really don't know if I like the Johnny/pregnancy storyline. I just feel Johnny should be playing against someone more interesting than Carmen. The good, tho: I like Barnes return, tho he clearly shouldn't be fighting. He looks like he could easily throw his back out. I like Miguel and Robbie being friends, though I'd like a Miguel, Robbie, Hawk clique alliance. Chosen is now in my top 5 of best characters Reese's escape was kinda fun I'm not sure I can hang on for Season 6, though. 8:24 stupidest argument in the video. Cobra kai isn't about Johnny. It's about Daniel AND Johnny. The only reason it began with Johnny was for storytelling purposes since we were already more aware of Daniel's life than Johnny's. Once Johnny's past and present became abundantly exposed, it set the tone to him AND Daniel. The fact that your using "not enough Johnny redemption story" as the closing argument, makes your moderately credible arguments completely invalid. With the logic you've shown in this video, you are required to hate season 3 just as much as you hate season 5. Especially since they sent Daniel all the way to Japan. In addition to that, you can't develop a story of "oh i was a misguided kid, i wanna do better" for 5 straight seasons. It gets old. You need to progress/elevate. You wanna still see Daniel and Johnny fighting? You still wanna see Johnny delivering repetitive lines, being a bum, and drinking beer? A mass majority of your criticisms for the lack of realism is also applicable to prior seasons. This entire video is very easily refutable, and sounds too much like "youtube red doesn't make the show anymore, so I'm gonna make up arguments just to hate Netflix"

Interesting that you show Miguel and Carmen when you say the show should be about Johnny and those closest to him instead of Robby. And that is all that went wrong, imo. :D Johnny also says he hates Maverick and loves Iceman so it physically hurt me to see him forced into Maverick's role by Carmen who's a character I buy not for one second that she is THAT much into Top Gun that she dreams of it, excludes Robby from her ideal Family idea and the montage was cringe. (sorry XD Ich screamed into my pillow and wanted to wash my eyes out after) Agree that seadon 6 should be smaller and more focussed. Write the redemption baby shit out and Johnny's and Robby's happy end in. Don't agree on making Daniel a side character but make him and Johnny main. Apparently the final season was advertized as bigger and better and the most badass season ever and I am mildly concerned, lol. S5 had great moments but alltogether it caused me to not be able to rewatch the entire show past episode one because I know at some point Carmen will say : "We're having a babyyyyy" -_- And if people say it was predictable, I hadn't seen that coming because I thought it was so bad as an idea I never thought they would even go near that. Honestly this isn't about Johnny much anymore, Johnny and Miguel's storyline can the show take so far, this show isn't just Johnny and friends it's about it's everyone and how they deal with toxic karate environment. Johnny is cool character, but Chozen and even Mike Barnes seem to have more complexity than he does. Heck enjoy the teenage because you could understand all of them. Teen isn't repetitive it's continuing from one season to the next season. Heck season 5 Daniel really the hit how much crap Danny went through during kk3. Can Chozen be wholesome, if it's Johnny it doesn't matter because he was built that way apparently. Overall, the show is always more towards more than one freaking side, not appealing just to Johnny's.

I enjoyed Season 5 for what it was but I will admit it is suffering a little from diminishing returns at this point. Same problem the mainline films suffered. By the time we got to Karate Kid Part 3 the wheels had fallen off. I think the same thing is happening to Cobra Kai. That said, I still had fun with this season. I liked Chou-zen a lot. But you’re right on one thing. The ballooning cast and the 30 minute run time doesn’t allow for enough time to fully flesh everyone out. As for the mining of nostalgia, I can live with that. This series has been doing that from the beginning. As for Johnny, he’s kind of already redeemed. I think they kind of realised people want the broship between Johnny and Daniel and have thrown aside their conflict. Which on the one hand I like as I was kind of tired of their misunderstandings but on the other, makes me wonder what the hell are they gonna do with season 6 now that these two (and everyone else) seem to be best buds? In a ways, I think season 5 should have ended it. It certainly seemed like everything had been resolved come the end. Why would anyone allow Cobra Kai to participate in that major tournament after it has been revealed that they cheated their way to victory? Why would any of the Cobra Kai students stick around after learning the truth? I think they have a tough uphill battle ahead of them making me care about season 6 and I do think season 5 felt like it should have been the end. Otherwise it’s just more diminishing returns.

Johnny has come a long way since season one, but not nearly enough to do his part in caring for another unexpected child. Carmen’s pregnancy was my only real gripe about season five because it felt so cheesy, awkward and obnoxious. However, my opinion is subject to change, depending on how it plays out, such as how Johnny’s issues are addressed such as his drinking problem, finances, etc. Johnny and Carmen both deserve ‘happy’ endings in the sense of reasonably favorable outcomes but it would be a disservice to the show if it was carried out in a generic, unoriginal “happily ever after” style of conclusion.

I disgaree heavily with the last part. This show was never Johnny's show in a series that built up from the Karate Kid. This show was always about perspective and not black and white like the Karate Kid. Even Martin Kove didn't want a black and white character, and wouldn't have taken the role if it was the case. The universe didn't want to focus on one protagonist they wanted to expand other characters and perfectly set up the fact that Daniel has a family and fell out of touch with Karate. They even wanted to extend the show with 6 seasons, and there's no one they ever could've done that with Johnny's story alone without making it too stretched. Cobra Kai is able to balance all the stories together, while overall keeping the dots connected. That's why all the kids and adults are together in the end, the story has multiple perspectives that all lead up to a similar plotline we can focus and put together. Daniel is a core part of the series and is a heavy part of Daniel's, Daniel with Cobra kai opening was never going to be a recurring character as the one who despises Cobra Kai the most and contributed to Johnny's redemption. Sam while hated is not a recurring storyline cause she has a different one every season. Season 1: Finding who she should be with - She's constantly struggling of where she is. She's best friends with Aisha but her new friends hate her. But still has a heart, but this leads to everyone hating her. But is solved with karate. Season 2: What she should do - After karate she figures she should be with Robby and to help her dad, however is conflicted with Cobra Kai. She however decides by the end when drunk, to go back with Miguel (Season 2 is her weakest tbh). Season 3: Recovering from her past - The aftermath of Seasons 2 left her unbalanced and terrified. She however with the help of Daniel was eventually able to regain balance. Then by the end of the season realizes to put the past aside, except for Tory. Season 4: Conflict with styles - Sam has always had a hotheaded personality that was neversolved and Defense was only a part of her. She found that she didn't want to keep listening to what Daniel said and wanted to make her own choices. She wanted to give into Johnny's style that turned her hotheaded aggression into strength. Taking this on Tory. However realizes that her instincts are both aggressive hotheadness and her good hearted defense. Season 5: Who is she - She is conflicted after failing to win against Tory. So she is unbalanced with daniel shutting down the dojo and Miguel leaving. She feels pressured by everyone and doesn't know who she should be. However once the dojos unite she finds the purpose. Not fighting against someone, but to fight for yourself and your peers. She figures out that she is herself, and by fighting with the dojo to take care of Cobra Kai finally. Then settles the past with Tory. In terms of Amanada, she is the wife that balanced Daniel out of bed which Silver played with. She got involved cause a mother realized that her daughter literally almost got murdered because of a karate dojo, Shannon in comparison was concerned for Robby but no longer really played a major part since he was out of jail.
