This video helped as could see where you had the camera placed. I'm building an older 3dhobbyshop vyper 46" and going to put an aritificial horizon dash into it for fpv. Was worried it would not be in focus but think I can get the camera place where it mostly will be.

Eflite Maul 7 is my favorite for FPV float flying....it can handle a flip over without getting the dji air unit wet......and video is super clear.

Pretty good, Work on your crosswind correction as your takeoff roll happens, more stick into the wind and opposite rudder. Same thing as you slow down just before touchdown, stick into the wind opposite rudder.

I hope so, too; as I really enjoyed Goggles RE which included Head-tracking. I also hope for real time audio transmission to complete the cockpit realism experience.

Yeah, same here. Hopefully audio very soon, and the ability to plug in our own head tracker soon after...

Do you fly with canopies on or off when you do these? I have a couple I want to stick an FPV cam in, but the windows in the canopy make it so distorted. Curious if you remove windows/canopies all together when you do FPV, or if you do leave the canopies on is there a certain plastic/material you’re using to get such clear views through? Thx!

November Bravo Papa I flew with canopy off in this video. For canopies with simple curve and frame, you can replace the stock glazing with transparency paper, or glazing from face shield .

Haha, I made it like 5 times. Got cocky and tried it on a windy day. Several aborted attempts and did not take the sign from above. Force was not with me that day. All part of the FPV fun!

So do you like the new DJI goggles better than the DJI RE edition? If so what do you like better? Thanks

It’s not clear cut which one I like better at this point. For care free enjoyment, I prefer RE still. But DJI FPV visuals are gorgeous, still require more work for me to figure it out - not there yet... DJI FPV goggles pros: 1. better resolution, especially at low light 2. transition between dark and light well 3. low latency, less likely to hit wingmen 4. air units record 1080P/sound, good for YT Cons: 1. no head tracking, 3rd party/too many wires 2. Signal fades fast with distance/not robust RE Goggles Pro: 1. Includes headtracking/very convenient 2. robust signal, no worries about reception 3. Global shutter/prop strobing looks cool. Cons: 1. HT lose centering often/no easy way to re-center in flight 2. Low resolution/distant details look like color blobs especially at low light 3. Camera gets stuck in dark after inadvertently looking at the sun/poor bright to dark transition. 4. No sound recording

Much more exciting, and precise; but limiting at the same time. Have to think far a head. Also our strict field boundaries forces turning frequently. Can’t hold straight and level for very long. It’s going to be hard for formation work...

Noticed you have incorporated comments on your F/A-18C maiden, nice touch! ;p Quick question about Resolve Corporate Corner, how do you lengthen the display time? Which parameter do you change?

@@motionsic Thanks! I just drag it by the corner (pun intended, lol) and extend it with the mouse. It doesn't always work well, particularly when shortening it, it will usually lose the animation. Titles are a 'fusion' feature, so on the 'fusion page' there's probably more options if you want to dig deeper but I can't be bothered ;) Hope that helps!
