Children of Bodom has been my favorite band since I first heard them in like 6th or 7th grade! Had their early shit on repeat! I miss Alexi so much! I'm bummed I only got to see them live 3 times! :'(

Been a teen in 2000s and Alexi was a hero of mine, spent countless hours in front of the computer me and my buddies watching his Guitar Young demo and trying to learn his licks and riffs. Can't believe he's gone, it was fast, didn't see it coming... Thank you COB. Your music lives on. Respect and condolences from Morocco

Really? He was the one saying he expected Alexi to die. Such a great friend, huh.

A month ago I said to my brother that Alexi looked extremely thin and really ill after I watched a guitar video uploaded last year. My Dad died from liver cirrhosis and towards his last days looked like a skeleton. That's why a month ago I was shocked to see Alexi looking the same. RIP Alexi Laiho

God damn, we miss you Alexi.

Still in mourning over the loss of Wild Child and will be for at least a year! Thank you so much this helps a little. ☮️

man these videos make me so happy and sad at the same time... Alexi is gone, CoB is gone, but they still live on through their music and these videos, never to be forgotten

I'm still floored by Alexi. It took me forever to get over Wayne. I saw Static-X in concert a little over a year ago and the way the handled it with Edsel was enough to give me closure. This one, I don't know. All of my heroes are leaving me behind.

@@DaemonicSavior Same dude, i can't get any closure for Alexi's dead ether, i don't think u can get real closure because it's like losing family in his case, u just need to accept it but it's not fair and i'm not ready for it yet. He was my biggest hero ever and the thought of getting older without our heroes being around just feels so empty in a way :s. It's weird but with him a part of me dies aswell. R.I.P. Wildchild

Same...listened to COB and trivium daily since 2004 it hit me hard...35 yo now and cried when I found out...

The dude was a fucking machine when sober, but his understanding of how to create riffs was what I'll really miss. Probably the only band with so many major chords in my selection, but it created a sort of party death metal or something. Made it a SUPER fun seeing live!

Growing up with Alexi and Co, they helped shape me as a musician. I ended up buying his guitar and began practicing harder and joining a few bands. Few years later we got an offer to tour with them and Abbath, I was supposed to bring my other ESP, on accident I brought the one I bought when I was 14, it was set up by ESP luckily before the tour also haha, but it was a dream, playing that thing, on the same stage. At the end of the tour we chilled with them and he signed it. They were amazing musicians, and amazing people to tour with, I learned so much from them. And him. Thank you Alexi.

@Johnny Dong He is. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for anyone who's struggling with addiction. But I do enjoy watching this as well because I laugh with them and enjoy seeing them having fun. I'm Norwegian and I know what most Finns are like, so alcohol is more or less a necessity in Finland, and alcoholism is so common (though less with the recent generation) that had you asked a Finn "what's the definition of an alcoholic?" they'd answer "Someone who's black out drunk 24/7", but drinking like they do here is pretty acceptable. Even in Norway people behave just like this every weekend when it's "allowed". Alexi realized he had a problem in 2013. It had to do with the lifestyle of constantly being on the road, when it was allowed all the time. He had withdrawals. So, sure, it isn't funny when you pick it apart, but I had a good laugh watching this video and felt close to them in some way, which I believe was their intention.

Just watching this makes me sad. Can't believe they are breaking up (last show tonight here in Finland, I'm going obviously). They used to be such good friends and now they don't even get along...

I like something wild, hatebreeder, and follow the reaper. I bought the album Preston strung out or whatever, I also have the album needled 24/7 don't care for those album so I quit buying their stuff. Like I said all that I can sense first three albums. They change their style . Think they're great musicians but I have never cared for a Alexi's vocals. He was okay when he screams that Rammstein styles singing has got to go I absolutely hate Rammstein. I like heavy metal all other music forms suck including industrial I don't like Pantera

Tbh that "happy drunken" its not for.ever, a few years like this.and it goes downhill, alexi and roope are the beste examples, alexi was a living corpse in the last years and just since 2019 he started to get better but the damage has been pretty bad and Roope, he lost his way and now je even quit playing guitar, dude has to be on a severe depression drinking all day, look at Metallica, even with all.the success the drinking hasnt leave james life and the guy was devastated, this videos are just "happy" moments covered in ton of booze, we dont know the type.of shit they lived at that time being drunk 24/7 could be a living hell in any time

One time me and my brother were watching a children of bodom dvd about 10-12 years ago at our friend's place and one of his sister's kids comes in to the room and first thing he says "is this band's name really cob?" he got a swift smack and sent out the door after being handed a black sabbath cd (edited cus i forgot a part of the story)

was it henkka or janne who got mad at 10:20 ? Does anyone know the backstory?
