Just a quick advice...it would be good to see the final output of what we are trying to build in the begining. This gives a better visualization of the building process. I had to go all the way to end to see what is the final output looks like. You started straight to the build process. Just a thought.

Question: if the studs are 16” on center and the coat hooks are centered at 5” apart, how will the hooks hide the mounting screws? I’m sure that I’m missing something as a newbie.

Hi...the mounting plate on the hook would allow for 16" on center screw holes. Thanks for watching, Wes

Looks great!!! Would you add part B with ceruse glaze? Also, being touted as one coat, does that mean you would not need to do top coat of polycrylic?

The manufacturer indicates when part A&B are properly mixed, no top coat is necessary. Thanks for watching, Wes

Wes- thanks for all the informative videos! You truly are an inspiration! I was hoping to try a Pro Coat finish/glazing for the first time on a small project but I can't seem to find it locally. I emailed Professional Coatongs, but never received a reply. Can you help me locate this finiah? I am in Pittsburgh. Thanks very much!

Cool project, Wes! Just curious: why did you only use brads on the corbels and not glue? Wouldn’t glue help make it stronger? Thanks for sharing this project! 👍🏼

Hi...because the corbels were nailed from two different directions, I didn't feel it was necessary for a small shelf. Thanks for watching....I appreciate the comment. Wes

Missing the bit where you create the mounting holes for attachingto the wall. I would of thought putting then behind the hooks might be a bit low ... but I have solid walls so I could over Engineer it by having a screw and rawlplug behind every hook.
