I used to make a lot of things with my mum's hand driven Singer sewing machine many years ago, curtains, and stuff like that. Now living in a different part of the world, with no sewing machine but a glue gun! Watching this has given me some ideas for old silk remnants. I could have the poshest bag in the local market. Not done any decoupage for 30 years so will have to give that a whirl too. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

I guess I'd qualify as a coastal grandmother! I'm not a grandmother, but I do live near the beach. Mostly, though, I'm a "home body", known in my neighborhood as "the plant lady" because my house is pretty much completely surrounded by plants. And I'm also known as a good cook, and a creative DIYer because of "homemade" gifts.
