My grandparents live next to the sea, so I really love seeing this trend pop up :) for me, the coastal grandmother/granddaughter style also embodies the joy of being within nature and its elements (sea, water, wind, etc.), e.g. wearing sandals to easily stick your feet into the water or putting on light sweaters in case it gets a little chilly on the beach, things like that :)

Totally true about more effortless and less romantic than cottage core I love when you do these videos!!

My closet is a mix between coastal grandmother, clean girl and cottage core, but it has definitely become more coastal grandmother in the last two years. LOVE this aesthetic!

Exactly! Also Floridian grandma, or New England Grandma on vacation in Florida. I have noticed it seems to be trending to visit the Hamptons, Montauk, Nantucket, omg it’s kinda weird to see, but lovely at the same time. I’m glad these destinations are getting some love. I hope to visit family in Mass as soon as possible but it’s a long trek home for me!
