Coastal Camp, Forage & Fishing With What I Can Find.

New Zealand, South Island, Tasman. 21.01.2022. My personal challenge is to go camping on the coast with nothing but a life jacket, PLB, the clothes I am wearing a GoPro, and a bunch of batteries. My objective is to find fresh water and make something to hold it in. Find or build a shelter that I can sleep in then find string and a hook to fish with. To somehow find the materials to build a boat and go to sea to catch a fish. To forage the shoreline at low tide for shellfish and pick any berries or fruits growing along the coastal flora. I am not far from my home so I know this place well. Join me as I set about this adventure.

There's a story I heard; A man was lost at sea, he caught fish. After a long time he developed vitamin deficiencies. He was just eating the white meat. He needed other vitamins. His body, his mind tricked him into thinking that the eyes, and brain tasted like candy. He survived!

That video was a really great insight into making what you have, work for what you need. The same can be said for many things in life, and I believe pursuits like this are good for us on many levels. Gidday mate this was bloody brilliant, the snapper was a good catch I think all the little things you find along the way like water etc are huge moral boosters.. I fully agree with the Intro to. It was worth the full watch happy hunting ahead

Absolutely brilliant video clay would love to see more of these styled videos from you. Perhaps bring a flint and see what kind of seafood you can cook up. The makeshift boat was awesome and to catch two good pannies even beter
