Coast to Coast Bikepacking trip, sort of…..
I met up with Ian again to do what will probably be our last cycling trip of this year, and what a great 4 days we had . We were having a late heatwave and dry spell after the wet summer we have had, so the plan was to meet at Darlington ride to the coast ( Saltburn-By-The-Sea) then catch a train back to Darlington pick up the trail again and head west. And steadily ride west riding through Durham , the Dales and Lancashire and heading for Hest Bank to complete our coast to coast .

Great vid, I love that Ian looks like he's just jumped on his bike after a day at work and ridden across the country, who needs who really needs all that fancy pants Rapha stuff huh?!

@@BorderRambler you picked some week too. Was boiling. I got out at the tail end of it for a camp and that alone was sweating. Nevermind hiking or biking.

Proper adventure that one Dave. Tan Hill is just too popular i had to wait hours for evening food when i was there a few years ago! Nice beach camp at the end before the train back👍🍺🍺

Thanks Dave it was an enjoyable trip that’s for sure , hard work on the hills tho 😂 I’m now playing catch up with everyone’s videos . TFW atb Dave
Fantastic that Dave. That route ticked off so many places I know. We used to stay in a cottage near Barnard Castle and often visited Bowes Museum with the kids. Then I think I recognised Sleightholme Moor, between Bowes and Tan Hill, then of course my beloved Yorkshire Dales. Looks like the weather was kind for you too. ATB, Chris

Thanks Richard , we just made this route up into a c2c type . Any road/touring type bike will do the job for attaching gear for camping etc
