Brilliant video as always. Nice touch, giving praise to the angler who thought of the double pellet. Thanks again Jon.

If you add 2/3 molasses to 1/3 liquid it makes it cling to your bomb/line and bait a lot longer and produces a nice cloud on the way down as well as on the bottom. Just something i do which works fairly well.

Jon always informative, just a quick question do you experience any tangles with your hook length being that long. I’m fishing 4-6 on a method and sometimes leave the hook length out to encourage bits, but it tends to tangle, any advice greatly welcome. Top videos👍

Cheers. So long as you feather the cast to slow it down before impact you shouldn't really get any problems.

The setup is the norm at this venue and many many others in the area with no issues. A fish should always easily shed a barbless hook, but I cannot ever remember being broke at the snap link swivel with 8lb+ main line.

@@JonArthur thanks for the reply Jon , i did say above the swivel and just because its allowed does nt mean its safe , i am a bailiff and some of the rigs we have found on tress and reeds are death rigs , obviously its a different company and there may be patent issues but at least with the Guru x safe feeders the line can pull thru the feeder so its not being trailed along

Hi John, looking at your elasticated set up it dont look safe compared to the guru version. If your line snaps the fish would be swimming around with your bomb. Or am I missing something ?

@@rikkiegglesden5295 your absolutely right Rikki no need for it to be fixed, you can still use elasticated feeders thats free running, the guru feeders come to mind.

It varies. Some venues as big as a size 10, but more recently I've been using the new MXC4 in a size 16 with confidence.
