Coalition will have ‘viable plan’ to bring down power prices: Liberal MP
Shadow Environment Minister Jonathon Duniam says the Coalition will have a “viable” energy plan which has community consent to bring down power prices.
The Coalition has seven locations in mind for nuclear power plants and has begun polling community opinion on nuclear.
“A key part of it is making sure the community are on board with it,” Mr Duniam told Sky News Australia.
“This is not about enforcing anything on anyone; it is about making sure that we have a viable plan that does have community consent to bring down power prices.”

@@RogueElementMkII Yeah a small businesses has a pty ltd and may be a one man show and be the director, a sole trader needs a BAS they are not exempt if they use mygov for ATO. I remember people complaining about it when it came in. Large corporations obviously don't use mygov. Why would you not just use an accountant?
Ditch renewable subsidies for massive farms by billionaires like Turnbull Forrest, etc, and divert all monies to homes for rooftop solar. Every home rented or owned fitted all free. Imagine all the cash back in people's hands.
labor said the same thing and look how that is going
You could always start with building reliable baseload power projects. Gas, nuclear, and actual hydro projects rather than the pumped hydro nonsense. All of which the ALP are incapable of supporting.

Why not just burn money for electricity? It would be cheaper than nuclear

He doesn't have a plan. He won't repeal the Renewable Energy Bill brought in by Howard in 2002.
Can somebody please explain to me how a migrant builder will be able to build houses in Australia. Every country builds things differently.
I know that if A nuclear plant be built in Australia for energy not for weapons I can help.

The Coalition just need to get it out there. That was the issue with Labor. they were elected with no real mandate. It was obvious they’d be left wing and green, but nothin* outlined at the time.. certainly we’ve had crap forced upon us since elected. Now the Coalition just need to clearly outline their plan for Australia..
We will…honest.
A higher standard.

There has to be a balance between university graduates with degrees that will not provide a job or living for them and the number people taking up trades. We can't have 90% university graduates and not trades simply because Labor and the Greens don't support this. The way to fix this is to make being a trades person more valuable through qualifications and skills as is the case in Europe. If we only rely on trades from overseas, we don't necessarily have the standards required for building houses and it is a fact that many shoddy and inferior houses are being built that do not meet regulations and that are structurally unsafe. This can be prevented by focussing on trade education as and not only university education because the fact is not everyone is suited to academic study. The Labor idea that if one doesn't go to university otherwise one's life is ruined is nonsense. Finally, productivity is not by increasing the talking and bureaucratic class on taxpayer remuneration but to have people that actually make things, that produce something tangible and in order to achieve this, we need people in all sorts of trades and skill area such as hospitality, in the service industry and so on.
