Watch Sam Perry's (the winner of The Voice Australia 2018)'s audition here on KZread and you decide. Another issue is if a coach hears someone and they think they have what it takes to coach someone with a certain skill and sound. Then there's also a limit to how many singers a coach can have on their team.

Such a shame that they didn't turn around. (The same with Rien Low from The Voice Australia)

They're diamonds, kinda, but they're also kinda raw (and/or too unvaried between segments/lines). So are others who the coaches did turn for because they hit the right spots. The coaches often wait for certain key measures they expect to be sung in a certain way or at least close to that. After all, it's still about money & fame one way or another.

The coaches didn’t turn in the 1st video because they thought they would be unable to coach her with her operatic style of singing. Here in the Philippines, we don’t waste such talent that’s why we’re the land of singers.

Her technique wasn't that good tbh. Her vibrato was all over the place.

The opera singer was absolutely gorgeous

i hate when they just turn only for a part that contains a high note, they need to appreciate more how their voices sound, no just for the damn high notes.

Several years ago I recall seeing a blind audition from the UK. Well, I don't as this poster, who is my grandma who I'm visiting in NY but I digress. Anyway, I believe her name was Bronwen Lewis (pardon my spelling) performing Fields of Gold. It was a breathtaking rendition, completely rearranged and she wasn't chosen. The show's fatal flaw was there were only two judges with spots to take. It truly was unlike I've ever seen before on these shows.

The voice is the best singing platform...😊😊😊

If you notice something about these songs they are all either not a popular singing style or they keep a very steady pitch nothing to blow people away. (Volume increase does not equate too the vocal range)

I do however think the Coaches made mistakes with some of these singers

I am from Poland

Somentimes they get scared to hear someone better that them

I suspect the judges didn't turn around for the first contestant because they likely aren't trained in the arts of operatic style. They just couldn't figure out how they could school her on something they don't have the expertise on. They just couldn't cross over their style and gifts to hers. Opera is in a class all its own.

Actually. Tom Jones has better operatic traing than her. So he provably could have taught her something. He was trained by an operatic soprano.

I can maybe understand the first one, the opera one, because probably none of the four judges have any experience in that and don’t want to leave the contest in the wrong way but you should’ve gotten at least one judge.

Most auditioners in the voice indonesia already a professional singer, so this one not being picked was understandable since she was singing it too safe while the original singer was one of the coaches, and he sung it way way better than her. And from the compilation, i think the worse botch was by not picking the fourth one.

First audition you can see tears in the jurys eyes, cause they want to turn so bad, but they aren't allowed to... I bet some of them also for a brief moment hated this TV show right there... The same goes for many of the other auditions, but not quite as clear... Let the rant begin: By the way... WHAT ARTIST TRUELY NEEDS A TV SHOW? ALL OF THEM SHOULD GO OUT MAKE THEIR CARRIERS AND SURPASS THE WINNERS!
