The leathers are so different, I find them difficult to compare that way. I think the Florentine leather is absolutely stunning. I don’t really like a bag to be too… I can’t think of the word, but like Perfect? My Dooney satchel has red leather inside where you have the green suede. It’s the one that’s made in America. I’ve been watching Jonathan P., as well as Caleb Snell. And now, you! Fun! Thanks for this upload

I sent back my ruby, the zipper was a part of it, but also it was to stop me from buying the speedy b 25, and the ruby didn’t scratch the itch. I have three small florentine satchels, the natural, the aqua, and the green. I adore them! The quality, the look of them, the slouch, the capacity, they are just stunning, in fact, my florentine satchels are my most complimented bags! More compliments than my LV, Gucci, and Chanel bags!

Barrel style bags like the Ruby were big in the 80s, almost always hand carried. Dooneys florentine satchel is more relaxed and casual to me.

Great video ❤ I, of course love both. I’ve had the mini Florentine before. I was planning on buying another one but haven’t gotten around to it. I have the micro & the regular sized satchel & I absolutely love both! I carry the bigger one when I want to carry it arm style or carry more stuff. Both bags to me are so nice & luxurious to me. The leather, the suede inside & just the silhouette of the bags are so classic.

Thanks for another great video. I have and love my Black Ruby as well. I don’t notice any issues going in and out myself, but I haven’t used her that much yet. I am awaiting the arrival of the DB Florentine Satchel in Natural. I have only seen this bag online as we don’t have Dooney here where I live on the West Coast of Canada. The Christmas sales online were too good to pass up so looking forward to seeing it up close and personal. I’m sure I’ll love it and really hoping it will be a keeper. Happy New Year!!

So disappointed as I’ve only ever seen positive videos and comments on this bag. The leather was absolutely beautiful though. Glad I got to see one in person but won’t be attempting a re-order.

Ok! I got the mini today and I am completely OBSESSED! I ordered this one in pale blue, as they didn’t have the natural available in this size. I was really torn between the blue and the white…I live in AZ, so both would be year around bags! I may have to get the white, maybe in the micro. I just don’t want to duplicate the Ruby, but I think they’re different enough. Anyway, I’m so surprised with how SOFT she is! And I didn’t think I’d like the opening, but it’s not an issue at all. Of course I already moved out of my Ruby and will be giving her a test run to the grocery store, but wow! Why did I not buy one years ago?!??? So happy to have caught your video! 💗💗💗

I absolutely love the D&B satchel. The straps, hardware, super cute tassels, and gorgeous soft leather make her a standout among all designer handbags. I also love the shape of her, and the famous Dooney "smile" at the fold- down zipper top. I personally don't care for the Coach barrel design because it looks too round on my figure.

Great video and comparison. I have the Coach one and love it. I don’t feel like it scratches my hand when I dig in it. I usually open it up though when I need something. I don’t like the look of the Florentine one. It has so much going on with the outside of the bag. I bought my Coach one on Christmas Eve and they are now Sold out online but some local Coach Stores may still have them. I bought mine locally.

We have a jeweler in town that has someone on staff to repair watches and he also does clocks. We are lucky to have him because like you said, it’s hard to find someone qualified to repair them.
