Coach K: Kobe Bryant was my leader for Team USA | College Basketball on ESPN

Спорт

Mike Krzyzewski shares his fondest memories of Kobe Bryant and his contributions to Team USA's Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012. Coach K also reflects on Duke's victory over Pittsburgh and scolding Blue Devils fans, who directed chants towards Panthers coach Jeff Capel III.

When I am watching these videos and seeing how many people knew Kobe and how many people Kobe knew in his life, in his 20 years long lasting career he literally blended with most of the peoples' lives and became a role model for millions of people. I do not want to mourn any longer, but instead just appreciate all the inspiration and kindness he gave not only to the world of sport, but the the whole world. Wish that the tears of all the broken fans could turn back time, but unfortunately, we have to move on and remember the best of Kobe Bryant P.S: Mamba lives...in our hearts

I love when on the Olympic team Coach K needed a defensive player and Kobe (who could play defense but preferred to shoot the ball) looked around at all the good scorers his team had and said "I'll do that" and decided he was going to try to shut down the best scorer on each team...and he pretty much did it while he distributed the ball for a ton of assists. It set the tone for the entire Olympics and they steamrolled to the the trophy..

Basketball today is good coz there are a lot of really good players in the NBA. But it is clear that there is no one clear defining figure because I think no one has that mindset, that competitive instinct to be the best in the world. Everyone is a brand now and wants to be accepted. Kobe just wanted to compete, make everyone surrender and win. Now that he passed, it is a wake up call that we should never tire to seek out excellence not for recognition but the sheer need to excel. Even in death Kobe is showing us how to do things, how to attack life. Stats are just that. Stats. Kobe won in life. He showed us how to be a winner.

This individual: Coach K, is a WICKED man. I am BOLD in this statement based on this: During the investigation of a Baylor Basketball player, an assistant coach reported what he knew. This led to further investigation of the coach at Baylor. Because of this, an arrest was made. It was ONLY because this young assistant coach RECORDED the Baylor coach asking / TELLING his players to LIE and say that the murdered player was a drug dealer and was the victim of a drug hit. When this coach needed work in his field, he was BLACKED BALLED by certain older coaches and Coach K was one of them. Coach K was RECORDED saying, that that assistant coach was wrong for helping the FBI uncover the plot of the Baylor Coach.
