Merritt has been phenomenal with the Chiefs DBs. No doubt he's earned his opportunity to be a DC.

As a chiefs fan it will be sad when Merritt leaves, because he has done an absolutely amazing job with the DBs. He will be a great DC though i'm sure of that.

When you look at how he has coached up Jaylen Watson, Joshua Williams, McDuffie, and Sneed, you have to be impressed. All physically gifted, but they are way better now than in college with the exception of McDuffie. Watson and Sneed are my favorites because of their personal stories, but our DB room is blessed to have Merritt!

Such a great man and a great coach. Hope he's able to achieve his dream and become a DC but my goodness, It's not going to be a positive loss in KC but nothing but happiness for him and his family.

I hear he's getting interviews for DC. I hope he gets it and I hope he doesn't. As a Chiefs fan, I think he's the best CB teacher in the NFL. But when you have good coaches they have to get opportunities, and Spags probably isn't leaving very soon.

Chiefs defense coach Tyrone or what ever his name is.. he will never be a Defensive Coordinator. Only reason why he is even in the chiefs.. He has friends on the team. He is a chump
