    There are a lot of average to good videos on KZread, but I think your videos are by far the best and most complete. Great job again.

    Great instruction, thank you. Takeaways: Loose grip, Contact point in front about knee height, use shoulder, don’t take the ball on the rise, constant swing speed - shot is a “push” (vs accelerating).

    Great video.. She generates a lot of top spin with her stroke...loves the way she emphasizes that her shot is really the same from a dink to a drop...awesome video

    It was so great to see you both play in person at nationals last week! One of the things I noticed Simone in your play against the Newmans as you played with Kyle Yates was that you did the lion's share of the work for your team at the net with the soft short shots and then resets from the transition zone. Your body position was nearly the same with the key factor being your buoyancy and effectiveness with staying low to the ground keeping your knees bent and striking the ball on the rise. I had a perfect seat to do this as I was one of the line judges for that match. Amazing experience. Could you talk about what you recommend for us mere mortals to build our lower body strength for endurance and explosiveness when needed? Appreciate you!

    Simone, you are one step ahead of me! I was recently watching Parenteau in a tournament and noticed how few of her 3rd shot drops are attacked. I said I'm going to watch some video on her 3rd shot and study how to copy it. What do you know, you posted the video for me to do exactly that! Thank you!

    Is the third shot always aim the kitchen? Or is it better to hit deep to the opponent. Or is it depends whether it's doubles or singles thank you and I always enjoy your tips

    I’m new to this sport, and was wondering what is the difference between a wooden racket and the carbon ones?( not talking about price and weight). Also I see there are different color balls, does each color mean something?

    Since the shot is more of a constant speed push vs accelerating stroke, the eastern forehand or continental grip is better for control. Semi western needs acceleration to generate topspin given the face angle.

    I just started on Dec 3, 2022. I come from a table tennis background. How do we maintain the paddle? I always clean it with just water after all games. Is that necessary?

  • @SDPBALLCOACH
    @SDPBALLCOACH2 жыл бұрын

    Catherine's Backhanded drops are ideal. She's slowing the pace of the ball and letting it DROP into the kitchen. Her forehand is not as effective as she's kinda flipping the ball back. Any ball with pace or spin will likely go into the net. Watch Tennis players on their drop shots and see what they do..
