So true story, I put a few hive minds into a game of Stellaris called Kyle and Allison because in your first video it looked like you were a hive mind. Anyway, Kyle consumed a good chunk of the galaxy before running out of steam just as he bumped into Allison. Allison, who had been nearly inert at that point, proceeded to eat all of Kyle until he was a single- system vestigial limb to Allison's space empire. I'm not sure what this means yet. Oh, Josh was there too, but he got beaten up by tomatoes.

I love Cities: Skylines. It's awesome. The Night Life(?) DLC is great! Day/night cycle that has gameplay mechanics? Shut up and give me the deluxe bundle! Public transport DLC? Just what this already-awesome game needs! Wishlisted! Natural Disasters? Great! Wishlisted! Winter? Oh I bet that's gonna be cool. What? It's just one map that's eternally winter? Oh well. Maybe they'll hit the next one. University, national park, industrial complex management? Yea... those are cool I guess. Fisheries? Umm... pass. The same goes with Stellaris.

2:50 - "That's just adding two infinities together and I need a nap." This is probably my favorite line in a video full of good lines.

"We've been at war with some geckos for a while, and I wasn't paying attention so our troops have done nothing.".....I felt this on a spiritual level.

On the other hand, clearly Kyle is a better leader than he thinks, because how else can you completely fail to notice that somebody has been attacking you unless your enemy has done literally nothing that actually did any damage.

This explains so much 1) why the Zumans suck and 2) Why Kyle is always so tired. Let other people run the Door Monster hivemind Kyle!

This sketch sounds about exactly like every one of my playthroughs. I _think_ I'm doing alright until I inevitably find out what others have been up to I'm always either already own everyone in the galaxy or actually no longer exist because the crisis literally cares not for anything except occupying what used to be my empire.. .. gestalt consciousness or not..

In one of my recent playthroughs everything was going great until the prethoryan scourge came around and devoured literally everyone but me whilst I was fighting the war in heaven and by then it was a war of attrition that I simply could not win. 😅

Except for maybe plant/fungus hiveminds, if that can even be considered when they don't even have really a continuous process of awareness as far as we know. Ants are probably a better idea of how a hivemind in stellaris would work (not to mention explains why theres different jobs for hivemind pops depending on where they work)

I'm happy that this started and ended with the doors. May their power know no limits.

I love the implication as to why the other drone doesn't know exactly what the first drone knows is because they were in a time vortex.

I get the feeling that this whole script is an argument between the sleep deprived but super frustrated side of Kyle and the sleep deprived slow mind Kyle about whose turn it is to take control of his body while he waters his cactus and throws out a gecko he found in the house. Also, I love the fact that he used the prop resume he holds up being blank as part of the hivemind joke!

I spat out my tea at that line: "If we all find out I'm incompetent? Theres nothing we can do about that!" lol

It would be funny if co-op hiveminds introduced themselves like: "We are... two? You are many."

I love the idea that there’s some hive mind that is only as smart as the guy they first assimilate of the species and the zoomans got assimilated and it was Kyle level of intelligence they were stuck with.

Kyle's whole bit about not knowing what's going on is basically the universal experience when playing your first 4x game

Kyle's fast paced writing/talking is one of my favorite things to listen to/experience, and I find it...refreshing? Like nobody else out there does it quite the way Kyle does. It always makes me happy to see more of it.

Giving me hours of time to stockpile troops at my border and try to understand how the ship designer and planet menus work. While my friend that actually knows how to play the game rules as supreme emperor of EVERYTHING, micromanaging our vast space lands in the most minute details and feeding me Ressources, so I stay occupied and don't break anything...

I only realized halfway through the video how desensitized I've become to the crazy stuff in Stellaris. When he said "Our head of research got trapped in a time hurricane" I just went "Oh yeah, that happens" with the same energy as if he said he forgot an item on his shopping list.

Your guys' skits are always funny, but this has to be one of the most hilarious ones in a while. I loved it. Even with just minimal experience with Stellaris, the jokes still land because they're also about other video game/sci fi tropes. How do hive minds determine which one of them is the leader? Cn you oppress a cactus person? Why are we starving if all we have is farmland? - These are the questions that keep gamers up at night.
