Did she really mean that much to them? I often wonder. Newsrooms are known to be cut throat as many workplaces are. When co workers of my friend came to her funeral, I already knew who was full of ish. My friend and I spoke about them prior to her passing. If you appreciate a co worker or employee, tell them or better yet show them. Treat them as colleagues, pay them what they're worth, give them time off when they need it.

Jim Acosta started crying on the phone as he talked about Alice. She and Maria were always on Jim's CNN shows together, they spent a lot of time on his show on the weekends. I can see why Jim A started crying, he is such a gentle humble human being who seems to be so soft spoken and never yelling or argumentive with anyone, yet speaks up courageously when needed, I really respect and love Jim Acosta as a reporter, journalist and human being. So glad he got his own morning week day show..

She was literally on the Situation Room on Friday this week. Omg. Life is sooo short. It is HEARTBREAKINGLY short! I was beyond shocked when I heard this yesterday. It’s like whaaat??! She was so young, fit, and a good debator. I didn’t agree with all her views but i RESPECTED her and how she made her point while respecting others’. I feel really really sad. And I didn’t even know her personally. Rest in Peace, Alice. And to the rest of us still here.. LIVE FULLY. LOVE deeply. Tell the people you love, you love them. It all goes by soooo fast. Sooo gutted. 💔💔💔

​@@joeblow229so she lived 4 more years rather than pass from covid 4 years ago. Lost my unvaccinated brother to covid. He believed the misinformation and disinformation about the vaccines. He died a terrible lengthy death on a ventilator. It was determined the day before he died that he had no brain activity. They were going to do a trach and feeding tube and send him to a nursing home. Not a life he would have chosen to live. God spared him that and took him to his eternal home the next morning. RIP Ronnie! I miss our talks everyday. ❤💔💔💔

Feel like I just saw her on CNN yesterday and today she's gone. RIP.

Very nice tribute. What a blessing for all of us who just see each other as fellow Americans, not "the enemy"! Sending good thoughts to her friends at CNN as they deal with their loss.

I never could keep track of Alice's arguments, especially considering who her clients were. But she was sincere.

I didn't agree with her on anything but she was a reasonable Republican.

Her POV was at times reasonable, and I think she tried hard to relate HOW people get behind the likes of Trump and Cruz re their thought process etc. I never minded her effort, though I almost never agreed with her conclusions!

But they've said repeatedly that politics was her life. It made her happy. Everyone has said she was a kind woman. If she wa a good presenter, right ofr left, isn't a debate. She did what she loved, and she did it well. That's a good life ! And a tragic loss of life at any age, but 58 is very sad, indeed. Our sincere respects to her family and loved ones.

He should have specified that point, but that's my opinion, because like you, I too, raised an eyebrow and questioned that outloud myself with, "Pleased???"

Yes. We all die sometime. Although we deny it in our culture, it is a very meaningful part of living. If she was in her garden, that seems like a pleasant location, and hopefully no pain or long term problems. I hope when it's my time, I could have such a death.

Could be anything but likely a heart attack. The family may order an autopsy and release the results. It takes a couple of weeks. Take your statins.

@@dutchdna it's sadly very common in women to have symptoms of heart problems but not be diagnosed with them. One of my friends from high school had that happen to his fiancé back in 2016. It took him and her family completely by surprise. She had been in seeming good health and just died within a month. And I remember this well because I had been chatting with her on Facebook messenger, talking about our high school reunion that was coming up and how I was looking forward to meeting her. One day I stopped hearing from her and after a couple of weeks I grew concerned and asked my friend from high school what was going on and he told me that she was in the hospital. A few days after that, she had passed away.

She is one of the few republican commentators who I could listen to on CNNs panels without having to change the channel. She was consistent and came across as ethical. How sad she died so suddenly and young.

She was just a very nice and reasonable lady in life and in politics. She'll be sorely missed.
