My father went to an African medical convention that was held in Rwanda a couple years ago. He was amazed at how fast and how much Rwanda has improved. Ever since then, I have been tracking President Kagame. I must say I’m impressed. The man is a visionary.

Call it madness, but there are those who don't want to see modernity & urbanization in African countries! They are happy to see a dirt poor farmer in a rural setting, barefooted, in rags, lives in a hut, few kids running about in the yard, barefooted, in oversized rags & his wife over a mud stove cooking! If city life is shown, it's the slums - not the nice neighborhoods with modern buildings; chaotic traffic - nothing orderly. However, Paul Kagame is showing it can be done. & what's all this batty about freedom? All the average bloke is concerned about is to put food on the table, put $ome in a bank account, not be hassled by civil servants for a bribe, etc! Physical & economic security. Full stop.

For those countries that believe in Western democracy and freedom and follow in the footsteps of the West, those countries that believe in China's win-win investment and learn from the Chinese model, you can compare the status quo of these countries. The facts will tell everything, and the facts will not be falsified.

Lacked resources yet became incredibly rich and is one of the richest nations in the world. Rwanda had a terrible genocide and has some resources, but its future is focused on services and exporting advanced technology. Good luck I am closely watching you Rwanda.

An educational program, similar to that run by the Ruhi Institute, is needed to awaken in children, junior youth, youth & adult a spirit of humility, generosity, justice, honesty, & trustworthiness. Without these qualities African people will be held captive by tribal loyalty & greed.

The trade not aid concept is much easier appreciated by people immersed in Chinese culture, with the Chinese saying "Helping the needy not the poor". In the US, one of the most catastrophic law is " Aid to families with dependent children" which totally destroyed the African American families... And even worse, with entrenched welfare industry, the law can never be repealed...

Behind every succeessfull nation their is ppl.kagame got people who understood his message.people who realized the price of unity. Somalia got two brave brainy leaders Farmajo N khyre. But are still struggling to bring the splitted mind togeta struggling to make their ppl understand the message.the massage of unity the price of forgiving each other.the important of forgeting the past and dealing with the present. The reality in Africa today is we must understand that in our toghternes we can make it but divided we can be exploited by our enemies. Every knows in Africa That chaose strive in chaose N corruption.succeess strives in peace N stability .

@charbonelle Okay Charbonelle, let give a benefit of doubt about what you're saying. My question to you would this: What's your better solution to get Africa ahead? You seem to criticise Kagame and Museveni, but what's your better ideas??? Just curious

No offense, but Rwanda is so unique, to the point where even we Rwandans can not practically show when and how many different human groups inside Rwanda came to adopt only one dialect and living in undivided territory. It is not found anywhere else on African continent except in Burundi which used to be one territory with Rwanda, once upon time. All talks about Rwanda's existence and creation are just historic empirical hypotheses

Long before Rwanda, Eritrea has been arguing for the termination of any aid but instead other options like enteneurship and trade and equal partnership. But we dont read or hear in any western media. I was just wondering by the way.

This is why other Africans envy Rwandans for the visionary and pragmatic leader they have.If the other leaders emulate him, Africa will become a super power in the foreseeable future!

African should ask for fishing tools, rather than just fish. They can do it by cooperation, but in advance education for proper workers must be essential.
