It wouldn't have mattered his race, political party nor gender. In case you are not familiar w the Moderate views, educate yourself "sir". We are the one's that erase the party lines of divide drawn in the sand. We see both sides of the argument, and beg the staunchly seated to move a little. To understand bipartisanship! So as "you people" continue dividing the country, we'll continue work on that bridge.

I remember your dad's name in politics, but I was never a resident in New York State - so it was just from national news reports. I grew up in Texas (and of course, I am proud to be a 4th generation Texas woman). This memorial you prepared for your dad is wonderful. It shows a man who loved his family and love people who weren't. Thank you for sharing this!

Andrew and Chris have in them the honor, strength and love for family and country, that Mario's spirit continues to inspire in them. My dad was like them. Honest, caring and inspiring, these are the models of great men. Great people don't count on lies, exaggerations, hatreds and revenges. Quite the contrary. Thank you Quomos. America needs you more now than ever!!

"No success can compensate for failure in the home". By that standard, Gov. Cuomo was a very successful man May he rest in peace.

That was beautiful, tears welling up in my eyes. Reminds me of my grandfather John C Hegarty coming over from Ireland, with an 8th grade education, family were poor farmers. "Papa" came over to USA. Worked in the grocery business and eventually had 2 stores of his own.One in North Whie Plains, NY. His business was very successful but I'm most proud of him delivering groceries to people during the depression, with no expectation of payment. They dont make them like they used!! (I include myself in that) I was in college the whole 4 years Mario was our Governor. I have a strong feeling Mario and John would be fast friends

my husband worked for their father, and have huge respect for the whole family. He keeps saying they are smart like his father. I can see now.

This made me think of my dad...I actually cried.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute to your Dad. I'm not from NY, I don't even know his party affiliation, but I have always loved and admired your Dad for the man he was! He reminded me so much of my Dad. He instilled many fine core qualities in us kids. Even today, many times I draw from my Dad's wisdom from heaven. These essential values do not die or go away. The right thing to do is always obvious. I was raised on your handshake committing to something, is as good as your word. It's called integrity. By living in a community demands you give back to it, because you are taking from it and you need to help to restore it. I'm certain your Dad is smiling that beautiful smile of his watching his sons carry on! God Bless you.
