"Have to" is an obvious exaggeration. But nothing wrong with the fact that a politician is interviewed by a family member. Provided that we all know they are family members. More: it's great and highly advisable. You can spot two fake people people at once, if it's the case. Or great people like the Cuomo brothers.

Did you see the episode where Chris got caught being out while "Having Covid-19) and then CNN staged a comming out of quarantine for the first time segment. Then on the next episode, Chris scolds people who are not quarantining! Did you see that one ? Its by far my favorite !!

I live in NYC and putting coronavirus patients in nursing homes is not smart, downplaying the virus the way he did is not smart. Thousands in nursing homes have died because of this fool. @WhosieWhatsum All of the above. But ultimately it's a banter. It's tongue-in-cheek humour, which is usually dry. There isn't much laughing, but there is some. So, they must be joking. And because these are grown, professional men on T.V. who happen to be brothers, it stands to reason that this must be the way they always communicate- i.e. this is how they normally act. Families communicate differently. All in all it's love, they say it all the time.
