Cnidarians
Ғылым және технология
Cnidarians were the first animals to have muscles and nerves to produce behavior. They were also the first to have a mouth and stomach to digest food. We learn about nematocysts when we watch an anemone catching a goby and two anemones fighting. Cnidarians come in various body shapes and have different ways of living. Corals are cnidarians that build reefs...

Its more like detaching its tentacles to distract the prey and hunt them while they are still confused of the position. I would definitely recommend you to watch animalogic bioluminesence to know more about this trap.
So these were the thing spongebob was watching on his Tv, "Gary!'
Poor Goby. We're going to miss you.
Fantastic video; enjoyed by all my classes. Well done!

stomphia just went "voh chali voh chal dekho pyaar ki gali"
I remember binging this series as a kid, thank you for the major shot of nostalgia!❤
I really suggest watching the video with the subtitles on.. and seeing that "stomp via" anchored to "Iraq" really helped the video..
This video is really fantastic!!! I was bored to read all those thousands of black colour letters on the white papers about cnidarians Thanks for adding colours to my life
It was like a movie. Great work of videography.
I'm not saying this material is boring whatsoever, but Peter Coyote can make anything seem epic!

What a documentary what a voice what an explanation
Excellent Video !!! Cnidarians !!!
What is the function of anemone muscle contractions ? Is it some kind of peristaltic movement ?
Every thing is created for specific purpose. What are the benefits of them? They look beautiful and i think may play role in food chain
Your voice makes this video bery entertaining. Well done

"Cnidarians rely on special cells: cells called 'nerves.'" Nerves are not cells. Nerves are made of multiple cells called 'neurons,' often referred to by the layman term 'nerve cells." It is incorrect to refer to nerves as "cells" as the narrator here does.

Jackson Reynolds he named them what they are made of cells. It’s like when I refer to eating protein then you know I mean meat

Jackson Reynolds ...According to a Google search of “are nerves single cells,” I get answer of “a single nerve cell is a neuron.” Please inform me of the truth.

@@brento2890 you're right he is wrong. All neurons are cells but not all cells are neurons
@bradsmith6019
4 жыл бұрын
@@brento2890 A "nerve" refers to a group of axons going from one neuron to another. The group is usually many axons in a bundle, but can be a single axon (meaning the appendage of a single neuron). Jackson Reynolds is partly correct in that "It is incorrect to refer to nerves as 'cells'." A nerve is a part of a cell or the same part from many cells. The key problem with Jackson's claim is that nerves do NOT require several neurons. People shouldn't start swinging their dicks around the second they grow their first pube.

Nothing, just an engineer scrolled through and found a random video...
Cnidarians are also called coelenterates. They are tissue level of organisation, radial symmetry, diploblastic, acoelomates without notochord. Cnidoblast capture prey, for defence etc. Contain gastro vascular system with a single opening, mouth on hypostome. Have two types of bodies, polyp and medusae. Digestion is extracellular and intracellular. Eg, Portuguese man of War (physalia), adamsia(Sea anemone), pennatula(Sea pen), Sea fan(gorgia), meandrine(coral brain). Skeleton made of calcium carbonate. Posses metamerism.
