CNC Plasma Cutting Table Assembly and First Cut

A big thanks to the guys at CNC Router Parts, they've been great to work with and were very quick to answer the million questions I had for them. I really enjoyed getting to meet them and seeing their place. Check them out at www.cncrouterparts.com
Hearing that my CNC plasma cutting table is ready to be picked up, I take a short road trip up to the Seattle area to pick it up. After a quick tour of the warehouse, I headed back home with the table in a bunch of boxes in the back of the mom's 'burban. I loved putting the table together, it took me back to being a kid, spending countless hours playing with legos, kinects, and erector sets. Once the table is built, it was time for the first test cut. I'm so excited the barn has a CNC table! It's been a dream of mine for a very long time.

Perfect vid. Not much talking, no odd music, down to earth, a pup and a CNC PLASMA TABLE! Wonderful!!!! Thanx.
I saw CNC Router Parts' (now Avid CNC) 'Tested' video, then I saw yours and Frank Howarth's videos and decided to check them out. That started a year ago for me. I picked my CNC machine up yesterday, Sept. 9th, 2019. Like you I drove up and picked it up, but I only had a little hatchback so it took 2 trips. Fortunately, I live only 25 miles away from them. Now, I get the fun job of assembly. I wanna thank you for the content you provide, like others, I have enjoyed many of your projects. I look forward to more.
WooHOO!!! When you said, "Fire in the hole!" and then it starting cutting, I got super excited and almost stood up myself in celebratory cheer! This machine is so cool!! *Bravo and congratulations on your new toy.* This is gonna be so fun to live vicariously through your CNC videos! lol Can't wait to see the next project!
JD, looking forward to what you whip up on this great new machine. The space makes it! I love all the work you've done on the barn. Congratulations.
Such amazing machines! Love the sound of the sparks and air hitting the water. Loved those drone shots. Oregon and Washington are beautiful.
Congratulations on a fine plasma CNC. I have a 4'x2' PRO CNC Router Parts CNC and truly enjoyed watching you build your table as it brought back many of the same great memories. After you have a few hundred hours on the table, consider going back and checking the swivel nut bolts for tightness. They won't be loose, but you will likely get a quarter to a half turn on some of them. I love my CNC and wish I had bought a larger table now. I can always extend the table and that's one of the great features offered by CNC Router Parts. I look forward to seeing more videos of your plasma projects....and Drake!
Awesome! Can't wait for some CNC plasma cutting videos!
Hey! Welcome to the CNCRP Family. I have a 5x10 router. Now you have me wanting another machine.
Congratulations sir. Well deserved. Can't wait for the videos to come.
Nice to see the origin of the cutting table. It looks nice and has served you very well!!! Thanks for sharing this!!!
"Couldn't be more excited".... expression never changes. This is why I love your channel. :D
love your videos. YT recommended to me and now i have binged watched them all. love your dry sense of humour, pace, style and the content and production values. very enjoyable. keep up the good work
What a lovely dog, i want to give him a big hug.
Congratulations! Looking forward to your future projects with it! One of my favorite KZread channels.
Dang. I'm a middle-age psychiatrist but after watching your video--I realize I need a plasma torch and a water table!! Good job putting it together, I'm looking forward to seeing your projects.
Impressed with your set up skills. Balance your hands on skills with this efficient beast...your hand made stuff has a little more heart.
Another Awesome video man! I enjoy watching them every time I can't wait to see what you build with the CNC and can't wait to see the deck all finished as well!
Those were some beautiful travelling shots at the beginning of the video. You're a great storyteller!

DaftDude Yes i agree! I'm not gay or anything but there is something with this guy I instantly liked. This is the first video I've seen with him.
Really do enjoy your vids. The subjects are deceptively simple, but you put so much creativity in every aspect that you make it look easy. Keep up the great work and and I wish you much success in all you do.
I'm really excited for you! Nice job.
Mate got to say I love your videos. Every time I see them I get all existed and set my self up with a cold one. You do a great job and I hope you continue to make these awesome videos.
Looks very impressive, thank you for sharing your amazing video. Beautiful landscapes and I like your drone view.
I was waiting for this! Thanks a lot for the video and good luck on making great projects with the table!!
Brilliant. Your videos get better and better. Well done.
Looking forward to all the possibilities!
My only complaint is that these videos are not long enough and not nearly frequent enough! love the style of your videos....can't wait for more.
Man I love your storytelling... every time I see a rainfall video pop up I get a smile on my face. You deserve so much more subs then you have now. I think you are among the best content creators out there. Keep it up!

This. I even enabled notifications (one of like 3 channels), but somehow I still need to click before I figure out who it is. Guess I still need to learn to recognize the name, orrrr we just need more videos :D
Super plasma putter. Hypertherm is simply the best... super CNC Tablet you chose. Nice and well done video ! 👍🏼 I feel a little envy tough 🤔
welcome to the world of cnc plasma. You're going to love it! ! don't be surprised if your nights and weekends are spent cutting anything and everything. . I know a year later and I still get amazed every time I cut something. Lil tip, sign up with Plasma spider. there are a ton of great files that people share on there. Happy cutting! !
Love the videos and very jealous of your barn. It's awesome. Keep the vids coming! Also, I can't wait to see the final outcome of the deck.
I loved my erector set with all its parts in a really sturdy metal case. When my son was little we began with kits of LEGOS of all sorts... and later graduated to a huge set of K'NEX. We spent vast numbers of hours together building all sort of things. I see your connection of all those and assembling your CNC table. : -)
Wow man, that must feel like a dream coming true!
Can't wait to see the first projects😁
Fantastic as usual. I continually enjoy your videos. Keep it up brother.
When I get a shop again, I will be getting one of these! Thanks for your videos, they are inspiring.
your work on the barn doors is looking brilliant
Ah yes! I remember when I received my plasma table as well! Congrats!
Awesome video, I totally get you about being like a kid at Christmas setting this up and the cable management, I'd be just the same! Awesome work, congratulations on it working first time :) When I worked in a company that manufactured control systems for power and water plants, the cable management inside the cubicles was so nice, with spiro-wrap, CPM sleeveing and rubber binding sleeves. Seeing/building one from plans and delivery of parts all the way through to testing and site installation was so satisfying!
I found you acouple days ago and I've watched almost everyone of your videos man! I'm hooked. Great content man ! Can't wait to see what else you do!
Love how all your video comes out ! Really great storytelling, image, project !
Oh man - you're so right about that Lego thoughts - brilliant :)
Rainfall Projects - your videos are my favourite of all the channels I subscribe to. I hope you are having a great summer and that's why we haven't heard from you in a while. I also know that since you are a hard working farmer and not just playing Minecraft for a living, you are probably busy with the growing season. Anyways, I wish you all the best and looking forward to hearing from you again!
Oh man, I'm so happy for you! I've personally been eyeing getting myself a laser cutter, but sadly it looks like I'll have to wait another 2-3 years until we buy some land and I have my own shop. For now, I'll just be an eager apartment dweller, living vicariously through you and other favorite KZreadrs. :) Super excited to see what kinds of things you make with your plasma cutter!
Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos. Keep up the great work!
Well that was interesting. I bought a plasma table from LDR Motion Systems this year and I am real happy with it. I watched you put it together and get it going and I know the anxiety of wondering if it is going to work. I also have the Hypertherm, great plasma cutter, I had to install the voltage divider myself. Easy. Working with Inkscape, CAD and Sheetcam now. Lots to learn, good skill set to have if you fabricate a lot. Good to see a kindred spirit out there.
My son and I built a 4'x8' CNC Plasma Table a while back. He already had a Hypertherm 45. We have cut 1/2" diamond plate with it. When he needs to cut thicker, we mount an oxy/acetylene torch instead of the plasma torch and have cut 1". We have been running it about 18 months and I am still amazed by it making cuts.
I've got one too. Got some vids on the channel with it running. Drew and Cory have been outstanding helping me figure everything out. Still learning but the potential is endless. Congrats man.
Dude, I'm so excited for you to have this up and running! That thing is awesome.
Don't feel rushed from the subscribers who hound you about the deck. We understand delays. I have a few major projects delayed, too. But we're definitely excited about the CNC! Nice work!
I think you are among the best content creators out there. Keep it up!
I was having a pretty shitty day, then I see you posted a video...... much better now! Thanks!
Dude I am so glad you got that CNC plasma cutter !
perfect size area and excellent lighting! Never heard of this particular CNC company but looks quite simple to put together.now let your imagination run wild on what it may create. Thanks for the video
Very well put together video. Congrats on your new (old by now) plasma table.
Sooo... jealous!! - Looking forward to more videos of it in action. :) (p.s Jake's reaction had me it fits!)
Ι have enjoyed your videos quite a bit.Well done.Big hello from Greece.
I'm going to be honest because were all thinking it. The best part of the videos; the dog! You do good work and all that but there is just something satisfying about watching a well behaved dog. Keep up the good work...both of you.
Your camera work and shot selection is astoundingly good. It must take a long time in post production, trust me that is not wasted time as your videos shine with quality.
That sir is the most awesome square I've ecstatic seen.
Hope your summer is going well. It's been over two months since the last video! Can't wait to see more.
Yeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr buddy you must be thrilled!! looks sweet mate.
Congratulations 🍾 !!
You are really coming into your own, this was my favorite video you've done to date. I can get you a beer next time I am in Oregon!
So happy for you! When you said you chose CNC Router, I immediately thought of Frank Howarth. 😏 I'm looking forward to more of your projects and videos.
Great Vid !! I've been shopping for this set-up and will give CNC Router Parts a look !!
Congrats man! That thing looks awesome! Looking forward to seeing what you cut on it. Likewise, if you're ever visiting Vancouver, Canada, let me know and we'll grab a beer / show you around my shop!
Love your videos. Always reminds me of the ‘endless summer’ narration ;)
I wanted to build one, but after seeing DIY's setup on a "tested" vid, I was sold, I had better start saving, these things are awesome
