    Coming from way back in CNCs, we used to use punch dot reel to reel tapes. CNCs have advanced to amazing levels.

    Aways fascinating to watch! The process reminds me of a Walt Disney cartoon I saw (about 65 years ago!), where Goofy chopped down a tree, and whittled and whittled until all he had left was the toothpick he needed. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.

    Só usually a machine will have 3 axis X y z. A 4th axis is when the part can rotate 360 degrees and 5th is rotation on the z axis at 180 degrees. Giving you acess to all sides of the part (aside from the base )

    because it's mild steel. it's actual metal that's being cut so it has to take time. otherwise if u increase the speed, it'll damage the spindle and cutting tool.

    bigger cutter just leaves more in the corners youd have to go clean out. why make program with 15 cutters if you can do it with 6?
