Ply and MDF are some of the hardest materials cut because of the glues.

Nice one, and solid content, Ben. Just FYI, I haven't cleaned my laser head yet, lol. And for templates, I always stuck with 9mm ply or mdf. Good info on the setups as well

Cheers mate! I made a spoil board with all the trimmings, about a 30mm runtime and BOY was it filthy, MDF is shocking. I only go 12 mm when I have to use the big 1/2” router for extra support, but yeah like you mostly 9mm 👍

The software is more the issue now, XCS is basic, and lightburn is to buggy to use with xtool, not to mention missing key features.

Maybe you can catch them and ask to change the module, they’re crazy expensive on their own. I looking into the IR laser for metal etc and thought yeah, sod that, I’m not that keen 😂
