The original spindle header is made of a 3D printer and is weak and fragile. I measured the original size and redesigned it with autocad 2010. The new material was pvc and cost about $80. PVC is slightly heavier. To elaborate the PCB pattern, the spindle should not be shaken. So I built a new spindle header and replaced the motor shaft clamping tool rod (Model: C16-ER11-35L).

hi nice result on the pcb, how can you make the pcb board not moving around during the milling? and also how do you convert the board to a pcb g code? i used eagle cad to design my board. thank you

how did u milled PCB without polygon using pcb-gcode? bcoz pcb-gcode generates gcode only for isolating the tracks from polygon

Hi. I have the same model but my spindle and Z axis bed are not so great as yours. Did you make an improvement of those parts? If yes, could you share the info? If no, could you share any data about the originar seller of your machine? Than you!!

Hi, excellent work, I have the same 2418 and I'm struggling to get a quality finish. Do you use any levelling/probing software to get all the Z axis correct. I have looked at CNCPilot but it needs an upgrade to GRBL from 0.9j to 1. Thanks

I modified the Candle 1.1.7 software to easily measure the Z-Axis probing value and I also developed a program to apply the Z-Axis probing value to the code generated by the PCB G-Code.

I have the same CNC, I've had better results putting 24 v to the spindle then the 12v the circuit gives you
