Back in 2000 as an electronics hobbyist at that time i was designing on paper and making myself the PCBs for fun, electronic door bell, small radios, cable TV amplifiers, etc using nail paint and nitric acid, and as for drilling, i was making the drills manually with a small device. Took me hours to complete something but every time in the end I was so happy that i did another working PCB without any mistakes.

You can use a presensitized pcb and with some test about uv timing u can have very good results I had successfully made a double sided pcb at home for a flight controller with clearence 0.1mm between traces and pads and all its components is smd. U still need to heat the etching acid so use boiled water and u will be ok I even covered it with a uv solder mask and make a screen printing for the components using a silk screen with white color uv solder mask
