CMPD says missing mother, 2 children found dead in northeast Charlotte apartment
A Charlotte woman and her two young children were found more than a week after they were reported missing, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
On Friday, CMPD shared a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that said officers were investigating an apartment complex along Orchard Trace Lane near the Interstate-85 Connecter and U.S. Highway 29. The department said at the time that human remains were found in the area.
On Saturday, CMPD said they had presumptively identified the remains as 22-year-old Markayla Johnson and her children: 4-year-old Miracle Johnson and 7-month-old Messiah Johnson. All three had been reported missing on March 8.

Taylor was found and arrested in California. He will be held in the Imperial County Jail, awaiting extradition to North Carolina.

Stop being emotional , the police wouldn't do anything why because she is grown so they not searching for her within 24 hours , and as far as you kicking down doors you can knock that off too these kids don't be telling their parents EVERYBODY they know or deal with , please like you really even know everybody your kid knows or deals with .so in all reality you would only be able to kick down doors you know or but I promise you there would be so many doors that you didn't even know existed smh.

Its not always a r@cial thing; sometimes you don't want to tip the person off, a pic validates who it is and they may have solid leads in where he might be. It'll come out if they don't find him soon... also he could be a juvenile

Probably because she was living with the person who unalived her and he refused them entry and told them she had left the house, so maybe they looked for them elsewhere then decided in a search warrant

Not her apartment but the BF apartment. He wouldn’t let the family in I’m assuming so they went to police Whom took their sweet time getting a search warrant.

Crazy, right?They went missing March.Third, nobody checked their apartment from March third to the fifteenwhat about wellnesscheck cause they usually do that if a person hasn't been missing longer than seventy two hours and if they don't answer the door they usually get a landlord or someone to open the door via permission of the family right?

Something strange about this. The bodies were found in the apartment almost two weeks after being reported missing. Wasn't the apartment the first place that should have been checķed - particularly, by the family? If my child is not answering my calls, I'm gonna be at her front door that same day. This is insane 😮
