Hi Bupe, for candidates who self study using Wiley or Gleim, I would estimate around 25 hours per week.

Hi... Attempting both MCQ's and Essays is compulsory ? Can we get through the exams, if we get 360 alone from MCQ's ?

It's not possible to get a passing score with only MCQs or only Essays. You need to perform well in both sections to pass the exam.

Hi Nathan, Are these MCQ questions based or comes as a direct question from the study material? Do we get any study material from IMA-CMA whilst registering for the course? If yes, then do I have to still refer to these modules or I can go ahead with Gleim/Wiley? What's the cost of comprehensive review course fees for Gleim & Wiley?

Hi Kaushik, the IMA will provide you with a limited number of practice questions. I definitely recommend investing in a CMA review course to help you pass the exam. Mohammad, it's not possible to grade a practice essay scenario since it's scored by humans and not an algorithm in the real exam.

The IMA provides a support package when candidates pay the CMA Entrance fee. It's limited in scope and doesn't not replace an online test bank. But good enough for some practice.

Hi Acef, it sounds like you majored in Accounting and want to move from Retail into corporate. The CMA is a great way to do it, and your accounting knowledge will be a good foundation for the exam. I gave my CMA Part 1 exam on 28 feb 2020. i completed the 100 mcq and after clicking next i was move onto the survey. As my result is 220 the essay part of the exam should have opened but it did not. it is stated that the 50% of the mcq should be correct in order to open the essay part of the exam that will be 50% of 375 i.e. 187.5. i would like to know the reason of this .

HI Akshat, sorry to hear about your exam score. Remember that the final score is tabulated based on a scaling scoring system. It's not clear cut like you describe it. If you'd like further information on how specifically your exam score was calculated, please reach out to the IMA directly as I don't have that information.

I have q question. 50% required for multiple choice questions means that we need to acquire 50% correct answers in the total of 100 multiple questions or 50% of 375?

Ritin, you need to answer 50% of the MCQs correctly in order to advance to the Essay section.

Hi Krishna, in reality you only have 4 months, not 6. The last exam window closes in October. 4 months is enough to complete one part of the CMA but you gotta be super dedicated and follow a proven study plan.

I'm not sure who got the highest CMA exam score worldwide. You may want to ask the IMA about it. But quite frankly, it's not important from a career perspective. Companies don't ask what your CMA exam score was. They only ask if you have it or not. I'm glad you're excited about earning your CMA.

Hi Siva, I really don't believe age plays a factor in whether someone can pass the exam or not. It comes down to how bad you want it and following a study plan that'll set you up for exam success. What is the difference between US CMA and Australian CMA?

US CMA is a global designation and the most widely recognized. Australia CMA is just for Australia.

I'm confused - are there different CMA exams?? The one from AAMA states this: "The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions administered in four 40-minute segments." I'm trying to get national certification, am I looking in the wrong place??

HI Sai, I'm sorry about your score. In order to get to the essay section, you have to get at least 50% of the MCQs correct. Otherwise, the exam will end when you try to move to the essay section. Hi Supraja, at this time we don't offer job placement services. Our sole focus is helping professionals earn their CMA credential. It's one of the main reasons why our exam pass rate is 90% on average. The IMA has career resources for CMAs though exclusively offered to IMA members. Please check with them on that.

Srinivasan, I wish we knew that. It would make test-taking a lot easier. Essays can come from any section of your textbooks.

@@JustJami74 Umm..it took me 3 months of 2-3 hours of daily practice to pass part 2. And I'm doing the same for part 1. I'll give my exam on Jan 31st. Honestly, I'll be surprised if you pass the CMA in such a short time. Why the rush???

HI Jami, If you have an accounting degree and accounting experience, I think it's doable to pass one exam during the Jan/Feb exam window since you'll be studying full time.

If you fail your exam and would like to retake it, the exam registration fee is the same as the previous one.

How this 500 points breaking? How much for MCQ ' s and how much for essays?

75% of your score is from the MCQ section, and the other 25% from Essays. There are other variables to calculate the final score though.

Hi Muhammad, if you study full time, I estimate that 2 to 3 months will be more than enough per part. What review course are you using and what study tools does it include? You want to make sure you have textbooks and a test bank at the bare minimum.
