Like phil remembers so much at the time speaking to just how hard he was trying and Randy recalling styff slightly he was comfy and he was one of those guys. Which is so odd cause looking at it from the outside CM punk felt like such a huge name in the business even then like the Rey storyline and the fued with big show straight edge society and everything. Its just intresting to hear this and see Randy was doing his thing and phil was doing his but totally correct with phil saying he had a chip and its just cool to see them really talking. This was so amazing to watch! This was a story of maturity & mutual respect. 2 of the best to ever do it coming from different backgrounds and journeys to get to the top. Reuniting and showing admiration they both deserve. Phenomenal stuff

“Oh my God that’s right..” I say this in the nicest way possible - I love how old, mature and chill Randy is these days.

Fun fact: Punk’s fire burns theme was actually a Randy Orton find that he wanted for himself to freshen his entrance. It was eventually seen as better for Punk and was his theme before Cult of Personality was introduced.

Orton came out to "This Fire Burns" once on a SmackDown in May 2006 before Punk was around and used the theme for his own. Seeing Orton with that theme that is now so synonymous with Punk is very strange.

like. i appreciate in this day and age to watch them talking about "the performance" You get to see two people talk about the art of wrestling behind the scenes where as many years ago "its real". but u can appreciate the other side and hear the stars talk about the making of their match

This is not just therapy for Punk and Randy it’s therapy for fans. This was such a great thing for any of us to be able to see.

The bit at the end where they shook hands, hugged and seemed genuinely happy in each others company - just goes to show that time heals all wounds, and everyone grows up.
