Clutching for 35's? | SXSUSA P Clutch install and MO POWA!!!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

With the help of SXSUSA, we installed a new P-Drive primary clutch, upgraded secondary helix, intercooler, wastegate, charge tubes, and fuel pump and tuned my 2020 Can-Am Maverick X3 XMR Turbo with a Stage 3 Tune from Evolution Powersports. X3 essentially started as a 120hp base model but we took it to the RR level + some in a short afternoon!
I don't feel like I fully got the message across of my thoughts after the installs/upgrades so here it is!
The STM primary clutch pretty much stayed engaged on the belt at all times. The secondary would spin with the machine at idle and the machine would jump forward whenever putting it in gear from park. Due to this, this machine was nearly impossible to switch between L or H into reverse or park (big issue). On top of that, the STM primary always made some awful noises ever since a couple months after initially being installed new. That being said, the engagement in L was awesome since the STM primary pretty much just stayed engaged.
Following the install of the P-Drive primary clutch, these issues have been resolved completely! I am now able to shift the machine between all gears with ease (same as stock), the rattling noise from the STM primary is completely gone, and engagement is still adequate for what I need. Full disclosure - the engagement with the P-Drive primary is not as fast/sudden as the STM primary but like I said before, that is because the STM was pretty much ALWAYS engaged. The P-Drive primary seems to not do much for the first 1/12th (rough estimate) of the throttle but that is something I am perfectly content with. All this means is you'll have to commit to throttle and not try and easy into things which is how I like to drive anyways!
The power upgrades we made (intercooler, fuel pump, tune) were long overdue and much needed. With Can-Am X3's at least, you can take any base model, R model, RR model to any level of power you want since the key component in these machine are all the same (motor, turbo, transmission, etc.) Give Hunter at SXSUSA a call (information below) and get hooked up with all your power/performance upgrade needs.
We weren't able to get all of the before and after shots we wanted due to time constraints but be sure to subscribe and checkout our upcoming videos where we'll discuss and compare our X3's with non-P-Drive primaries vs our new P-Drive primary X3, all on 35" Maxxis Roxxzillas!

Sounds to me like you have the incorrect spring set up, i have the stm 3wcp primary and secondary for my 21 RR was super noisy and hard to shift and i got ahold of them super easy just called them ask for darin and he sent me the right stuff i needed when i told him my issue. All problems solved after that. Almost no noise and easy to shift. Purchased the machine with them was set up incorrectly to previous owner.

I don’t think that’s true. People might think that because they come with a limiter that makes it top out at 60 mph since they come with ITP Cryptids. Easy to override though

Fake news. Just looked up the part numbers for the gear box between the two models (2020 XRC turbo RR vs 2020 XMR turbo) and they’re the same for every part. Looks like the gear box is the same for every X3 model in the same year
