Absolutely, Borderline is my all time favorite!! Did you know it was her very first song to ever make the Billboard Top Ten? Other early songs may have become more "popular" in the long run, but Borderline hit the top ten before Like A Virgin or Holiday, all released about the same time in 1983 (I think).😊

Getting back to "Take A Bow" though...That has to be one of my all-time faves. It's just so hauntingly beautiful, especially when u add Babyface's backing vocals. This song was from the movie Desperately Seeking Susan, a fun movie you would enjoy! :) To this day, Madonna remains the female artist with the most number-one singles ever, with 13. A League Of Their Own was Madonna’s best movie, probably because she was a supporting character instead of the lead. The critics hated her in Dick Tracy, Body of Evidence, and Shanghai Surprise. Lady GaGa took over with several catchy pop songs. People either love them or hate them. Paparazzi, Poker Face, and Bad Romance came out in quick succession and dominated the airwaves and music videos for a while.

Hey Rob, just gonna tell you she had 7 US Billboard top 10 singles in the 2000. Her first top 10 single in the 21st century was a single called Music it went to number 1. Not including the dance charts. This song is from the movie, Desperately Seeking Susan, which was one of the biggest hits in the top five The night club was the iconic Danceteria
She was still popping in the 2000’s for sure. She released Confessions On The Dance Floor. One of her most successful albums. She even received a Grammy for best dance/ electronic album of the year. That album was amazing. She released 👉🏻Hung Up 👈 👉🏻Sorry👈 👉🏻Get Together👈 👉🏻Jump👈 Then she came out with the Hard Candy album in 2008, she did a duet with Justin Timberlake called 4 mins. Rolling Stone Magazine lists Madonna as one of the greatest artists and songwriters of all time! Desperately Seeking Susan definitely a must!🙏🏻
This was used in the movie Desperately Seeking Susan which also starred Madonna & Rosanna Arquette (the Rosanna from the Toto song)
Madonna had Hot 100 hits from 1983-2015.Top 40 hits from 1983-2012.Top 10 hits from 1984- 2012 and 12 Number One hits from 1984-2000.Just Hot 100,not counting UK and dance charts.13 UK Number Ones from 1985-2008.She holds the record for the most Number Ones on the dance chart, over 50.Into The Groove was and is played a lot, although never released in the US,this was her first UK Number One.One of my all time favorites of hers.

One of my favorite Madonna songs. Her performance of this at Live Aid was awesome!
Actually Madonna had her biggest hit in 2005 with Hung Up. It went to number 1 in 41 countries earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. It was Madonna's 36th top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100, tying her with Elvis Presley as the artist with most top ten entries. So Madonna was most definitely poppin in the 2000s 🙂 plus she is still having hits on the Billboard dance charts and setting new records to this day!
This song is one of my favorite songs. My favorite songs from her are Borderline, Love Don't Live Here Anymore (cover), Take A Bow, Crazy For you, Cherish, True Blue, Live To Tell and many more.
This was a huge and inescapable hit back in the day. I was going to say check out the song she did with Mike Myers in the video, "Beautiful Stranger," but that was from 1999. 😅 But the next year, 2000, she had a huge hit with a song called "Music." You should check it out, both of them actually.
Madonna was "poppin'" in the 80's AND the 90's and part of the 2000's. She is LEGEND.... EVERYWHERE!
Madonna has never stopped being on top from the very start of her career. She is a major star until today with her own way, inlfluencing many generations through her Art.

Her clothing style was so memorable...we all loved her hair, her accessories, the red lips. She had huge ballad and techno pop hits in the 90's maybe more internationally though still charting well in the US, like Take A Bow and Frozen. I have to admit, though, as an artist, these later hits stand out in my head more for their beautiful videos.
J & Amber - you need to add Desperately Seeking Susan to your movie list. This song was featured in it!
She was on top of the world 🤘🤘
Madonna artistically peaked in the late nighties with "Ray of Light". She's more than an eighties girl.
Fun fact - the movie in this video "Desperately Seeking Susan" also featured Rosanna Arquette who starred in the Toto video "Rosanna." Also, Madonna was still really popular well into the 90s and 2000s! She did an awesome song called "Beautiful Stranger" for the "Austin Powers: the Spy Who Shagged Me" movie, AND she had a great pop hit "Ray of Light" in the late 90s.
Madonna is 'quirky' but she wrote and sang some great music. This is one of my favorites. Don't care what anyone says...loved her in League of their own.
Madonna has by far had one of the longest and most successful careers of any musical solo act or group ever. She has her fair share of critics and haters, but her overall longevity is amazing. Like other said, making hits well into the 2000s.
This has such an irresistible beat.I love when she sings yeah,at the end of those lines.
Madonna was a trendsetter and so fun to hear and watch on MTV over and over.

Great Reaction, Robinsons! Yes, Jay, Madonna had hits in every decade since the 80s. ' Hung Up' from her Confessions on The Dancefloor LP was a major worldwide hit with an Abba song sample! That album had killer hits! Amber is right. Madonna is an Icon! More more!❤️
You better believe Madonna is still going strong. She's still writing & releasing songs. & her movie career is going strong, too. Not only has she acted/starred in many movies, & been in several documentaries, but she's also executive produced, produced, screenwritten, & even directed, several movies.

I love 80's Madonna the best. "Dress You Up" is a fun song. One she did in the 90's I LOVE is a collab with Babyface called "Take a Bow"....its slower but its very soulful!
Her best uptempo song. The voice, the look, etc was THE era of the greatest female Pop Star of all times. The Queen. Her best ballad was Live To Tell from True Blue.
Madonna had her biggest global success in 2005 with her song Hung Up, which was a chart topper around the world. She also had her biggest selling concert tours between 2006 and 2012, the same year she performed at the Super Bowl. She was poppin in the 2000s.
Madonna was our go-to music in the mid-80s before hitting the clubs/bars/frat parties as an undergrad.
She was so poppin in the 2000s!: "Music" and "Confessions on the Dance Floor" are terrific albums with big hits, and her voice wasn't filtered like her early stuff.
Madonna was a great singer and entertainer. She is nuts now. I like to remember her during times like this..

Thanks to the production talents of Nile Rogers for that thick full-on disco sound
Madona was still popular in the early 2000s. She had a number album in the year 2000 and in the year 2006
My first intro to Madonna was her first hit Borderline.. and I was hooked!!!! I loved all of her 80's stuff... Material Girl... Lucky Star... etc.. but 90's Madonna was my girl. Songs like Frozen..... Don't Tell Me... and of course her song Music were faves of mine. Just to start with! BTW... this song Into The Groove was featured in a movie she stared in called Desperately Seeking Susan with Rosanna Arquette in 1985. I was a Canadian girl staying in California with my aunt and uncle that Summer... and ran to the mall... to buy up all the Madonna clothes I could find.. and got my hair done like hers from that period. This and Borderline were my favorite songs from her early carreer. But while not technically in the 2000's, in the late 90's Madonna came up with some great songs: "Ray of Light" in 1998, then in 1999 she released "Beautiful Stranger" from the movie "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" (you would both enjoy reacting to both Austin Powers movies btw) and finally in 2000 she covered "American Pie" which is a remake of a Don McLean classic.

All but 3 of these songs charted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the 80s. And one of the 3 that did not make it to the Top 10 made it to #16.
I'd like to see you guys react to some of her post-eighties dance classics like "Don't Tell Me," "Hung Up," or "Music." Then there are hit ballads from the nineties like "Take a Bow" (a classic) and "Rain."
Madonna IS iconic and continued to break sexual and other barriers with a few albums she released in the 90s, especially from her followers from the 80s. To date she's still breaking barriers at age 65.
Madonna had the album "Ray of Light" in the early 2000's! She has such an amazing amount of great songs!
You should watch her movie Desperately Seeking Susan
My GenX self is indignant with J right now. Madonna didn't pop in the 2000s? You'll learn. Madge made hits every decade. Still your tongue! 😭 Ok, now that I've got that off my chest, Into the Groove remains one of my faves, decades later. (Jordan, I still ❤️ you. )

100%!!! While Madonna certainly defined the 80s, folks who confine her to the box of being "just an 80s artist" don't know what they're missing! Some of her best work was in the 90s and she's never stopped experimenting and evolving.
I can still remember when my friend TJ called me up ( on a land line, be4 cell phones) and said "I got a new album, you have to come over and hear this new chick MADONNA!" To this day her first album is my favorite. You really need to see DESPERATLY SEEKING SUSAN!!!
From the great Madonna movie "Desperately Seeking Susan", which is absolutely fantastic as well...
Awesome & fun track! Bravo! However, Madonna was still huge in the 2000s! Her 3 masterpiece albums are: 1. Ray of Light (1998); 2. Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005); 3. Like a Prayer (1989). Even her last studio album, Madame X (2019), topped the Billboard charts. Her greatest hits concert tour that starts later this year has sold out arenas so much that she had to add more dates. She still puts on the best show!
Love this tune! The REMIX is fantastic also! And this is an OST song from the 1986 movie "Desperately Seeking Susan" with Madonna in her first film role. I would say that the movie is solid, campy entertainment of its time.
Madonna popped off in the 80s...killed the 90s and simmered in to the 2000s. Her catalog of music is insane...and you never get the same Madonna twice. I'm gonna suggest songs I don't see being suggested much because there are just so many to choose from. - Rain - I Remember -This Used to Be My Playground -Causing a Commotion -Dress You Up -Erotica -Justify My Love -Open Your Heart -Oh Father
Madonna, commercially, was popping at least until 2010. But even after that her concerts still made attendance records.
Madonna has such a vast collection of hits you really can’t go wrong reacting to them.
This one's a jam
YESSSSS! MORE MADONNA PLEASE! Love her! Love you guys! This is my favorite Madonna song still to this day! Madonna was still Poppin in the 2000's. She had a huge #1 hit in 2000 with her song "Music". And hits like Don't Tell Me, Die another Day, 4 Minutes w/Justin Timberlake, Me against the Music w/Britney Spears. I think you should react to some of her really great videos that are masterpieces like Oh Father, Bad Girl, Like A Prayer. Madonna is an icon and timeless. I love all her types of music too girl. She has some amazing ballads like Live to Tell, Crazy for You, You'll See, and Rain. Shes the Queen of pop with a 40 year career for a reason!
Ahhhh..Madonna in her prime...it was a great time to be alive 💕💕💕
