I always used Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent. Not the strongest party (i hear Barret, Cid, and Cait Sith are stronger) but i liked them best as characters, and as allies for the MC. Note - I am talking gameplay wise in the original FF VII. I know Vincent is very strong lore wise.

I hope they emphasis Vincent importance in the FF7 lore. He is the center of several important events like his relationship with Lucretia and Hojo, connection with the Protomateria, Chao and Omega and the event of Dirge of Cerberus. I hope they make his abilities and gameplay better as well because his limit break in the original FF7 really sucked.

After Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy. The next project they want to do is Final Fantasy X and make that into a trilogy similar to 7 remake series. Knowing that, I do want to see Dirge of Cerebrus as a remake as well. Vincent Valentine is one of the most badass characters of all time.

Matt Mercer/McCree does a great job with the voice, I find it a much more natural fit than Blum's (who is an absolutely amazing VA but he sounded almost too gruff for Vince IMO). I wasn't doubting MM for a second but it's nice to hear that my trust wasn't misplaced as Vince is very dear to me, I'm thankful for the casting in these games. They knew exactly what they're doing. Vincent's face looks way more similar to Sephiroth than previously, perhaps this time they will spell out that he's the real father?

@@Michelle-DiPalo Well, unless they confirm Vincent to be the real father, it will remain a theory and Hojo is. DoC certainly didn't clear it up or suggested it any further but the rumour is there since I was a kid and since V and S look similar, now more than ever, it feels like we could get a revelation in this game or the third part. Ultimately I don't care much, and the irony of Seph resenting Hojo is a nice little detail if he's the sperm donor, but I could imagine that they'll address it in this trilogy to either shut people up forever or confirm their suspicions.

Square back in the day confirmed time and time again that Hojo is the real father, some people just refused to listen. At this point Square may have given up and retcon even what they said. I personally hate the idea. Vincent is already such a tragic character, with so much to deal with, I can't even begin to imagine what knowing he's Seph's father would do to him.

Hojo confirms that he is Sephiroths father when you face him. SE has even stated it multiple times. Also Matt's okay but I still prefer Blum. Blums gruff voice kinda suits more to a man who is struggling constantly to keep a monster which could easily destroy the world contained within him.

@@Andrew___P Well, I like the more Alucard-esque delivery for Vince personally but I love Blum in general. His Zoltun Kulle, Cyrus (DoW2), Starscream were all perfection, I just think his voice sounds too "cool" and badass, as strange as this might sound. Yeah, Hojo said as much, that's why I said they'd need to explicitly state otherwise. I'm just addressing an old rumour and find it interesting that Vincent looks even more similar to Sephiroth regarding the overall facial features. Funnily enough, I think the old PSX Hojo shared very faint similarities to Sephiroth unlike modern interpretations, where he kinda looks like an ugly FF version of Billy Bob Thornton. Only the hair length is similar. xD

They even kept the music the same when you meet him!

Vincent has similar features to Sephiroth and it'd make a good explanation why Lucrecia chose Hojo in fear the company found out she was having a child with Vincent and pushed herself to be with Hojo. Vincent merged perfectly with different beasts and one of the ultimate life forms of the planet while hojo was rejected terribly by Jenova cells. It'd make perfect sense that Sephiroth as a fetus would survive Jenova cells implantation considering if Vincent is his biological father.

Honestly Steve's is perfect for his aged form (Advent Children and future), Matt's seems alright for his early days, maybe even as a Turk. As far as the actual timeline of the game itself is a tough call

I'm hoping in Reunion (part 3), they allow all the characters to fight simultaneously. Not just have half the party stand around looking pretty, but actually doing attacks and taking damage. Make it optional, of course, as it could be overwhelming to control such a large group.

I'm.... Security~ 😂 I like his manorisms. Its like he does everything so cool but fails with that charming awkward touch x,D i love him.

Oh, Cait Sith knowing how to access the terminal is a really good bit of foreshadowing.

I heard Dr hojo had lied to her about how Vincent as a member of the shinra had killed her family if there's any truth to it I doubt it that's why she broke it off with Vincent when Vincent realized what Dr hojo had planned for her he tried to stop himself only to be killed by Dr hojo and Resurrection into the vampire did you see so is every right to be bitten and angry

Vincent had to be the toughest boss in the game. Hands down; but to not get him as a playable character is a letdown. Then again I just finished the boss fights at the saucer today. Still much more to do in the game. FYI I believe Vincent was the inspiration for Hellsing’s Alucard and Naruto’s itachi

It's too early to talk about the future installment of FF7. Even if the Sephiroth arc has been fully completed, it's not the end of FF7. Vincent will have the most important role considering the fate of the planet.

He was horribly experimented upon, became immortal, is so full of guilt and grief that he basically committed sui code within what's possible for him. What?
