You must mean the super platonic soulmate dream date scene @0:57 & @1:03 - otherwise known as the "you'll have to give me a harder one next time(date)" scene right before Aerith says "I really like you" to Cloud😌🥰 why are you even here on a Clerith edit if you don't like them, there are plenty of other ship edits to waste your time on instead lmaoooo But thanks for the views! That is only low affection version. If your affection for Aerith is high enough then Cloud makes it obvious that he has feelings for Aerith too and this makes Aerith really happy.

@@NordicWiseguy it honestly warms my heart that no matter which affinity version you get, Cloud always says he wants more dates/more memories with Aerith, while she in return always confesses to having romantic feelings for him ❤ It's really just two people shyly confessing to each other that they like each other for the first time, and navigating how scary that first confession can be. Even the low affinity response isn't him friendzoning her, rather Cloud being too anxious about where he might stand with Aerith to fully express himself about how he feels. He likes her and wants to spend time with her, but he isn't confident about how she feels in the low affinity scenario due to never having the opportunity to talk to her about her past relationship with Zack on their gondola date. Feelings are scary after all! and the situation with Zack can make it even scarier and more complicated. This will make a person , especially someone as introverted as Cloud, respond nervously and less confidently in a guarded but still positive response ("why not?") as a way to lessen any possible rejection. And it is also the reason why he looks so so happy when she tells him that she likes him in both the low and high affinity version - he likes her, and now he knows she likes him back! ❤😊 It's genuinely one of my favorite scenes, and it is unfortunate that so many people choose to misconstrue and misinterpret it as them friendzoning each other. @@xXAmity0ParkXx Yep. Cloud and Aerith compliment each other. On the way to a smile novel which is written by Nojima states that Cloud and Aerith were lovers and Cloud is the most precious person in Aerith's life. This same novel has Tifa openly asking Cloud if he loves her but Cloud doesn't even bother to answer. Instead he is thinking about Aerith at the very moment. Not being able to be with Aerith makes Cloud depressed. In Rebirth we learn that Aerith is what Cloud cherishes most. She is literally the most important person in Cloud's life. Zack also learns that Aerith has fallen in love with his best friend. It shocks Zack at first but he accepts it. He just wants Aerith to be happy and supports her decision. He has made it his personal objective that he saves them both. Zack's biggest dream was to become a hero. Now it is his time to achieve his dream by saving Aerith, Cloud and the entire world or in this case worlds. Also that handholding gesture where Cloud and Aerith are interlocking their fingers is called "Koibito tsunagi" or lovers tie. It is extremely romantic gesture and it symbolizes the strong bond between two lovers and their mutual desire of not wanting to let go of their special someone.

@@NordicWiseguy Yes, I absolutely loved OTWTAS! The insight into Aerith's POV is so heartwarming yet bittersweet. It's clear just how much she loves him, and how painful it was to see his heart absolutely shatter after losing her. And 100% agreed to everything you just said. They are both each other's beloved, most cherished person, and it's been that way since the original FF7. Cloud will always choose Aerith regardless of whatever choices the player may make. They are more than friends or even lovers but are soulmates. Their relationship is a precious and unique one that exists beyond any kind of boundaries like life or death, and the remake trilogy expands upon this beautifully, leaving zero interpretation or ambiguity about how the two feel for one another. Cloud loves Aerith, and Aerith loves Cloud. He is willing to go to the ends of the earth, defy all fate and breach entire worlds, in order to save her. I will never be over the looks those two share in that last chapter... They absolutely kill me (but in the best way possible aha) Extremely excited for part 3. Gonna be a longgggg wait, but I'm so confident that it'll be worth it! Thanks again for leaving such a nice comment! It always makes my day seeing Clerith positivity 😊❤
