The 2018 farm bill loophole is going to be closed. No more legal hemp THCA or 0.3% THC in seeds . No more sending seeds through the mail . Everyone should call their US senators and encourage them to sign on to Senate bill CAOA that legalizes cannabis at the federal level ! Read the CAOA bill online and call your senators !

Clones herm. Not all herm is genetically instigated. Plus all the seeds will be female because there is no Y chromosome to make the seed male. A stress seed is your best friend growing. Light leaks you can do on purpose to make it throw bananas out.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can herm a clone, height can be controlled, and you're overall assuming the person buying the clone will do the same work. I grow my own seeds so this might be biased, but nothing beats seed vigor.

Staffed the High Times Hemp Fest Whee! festival in 1997 where Jack Herer first got medical cannabis on the referendum ballot and it passed. Still quietly making history behind the scenes like I have always done, for 30 years now. My genetics, I will never get credit for, are a labor of love.

I 💚 clones. Seeds are easier to send to a friend. Clones might not grow as vigorously, but I’d rather have the sure thing vs a possible vigorous herm. Pheno hunting is something you pay for in a clone or with your time and space with seeds. Quality clones around here go for $20 each- get 2 or 3 and clone them. I’d gladly pay that vs $50 for a 5 pack of beans.

Who even gets on anyone’s back about how they grow? It’s my biggest surprise commenting is how some will go into attack mode over a f*cking plant. Nobody in the neighborhood has knocked on the door and told my wife her flower garden sucks because she (fill in the blanks). Likewise with my annual crabgrass killer, weed killer and fertilizer application. The yard is green and the weeds are gone and nobody cares how I accomplished the task. Yet here I am literally being called an idiot for the way I grow herbal medicine. Do ya’ll think there’s any egos involved here with some folks? I just try to ignore the chatter.

None of them are really backcrossing new strains hardly anyways. It's all select cuts of unicorns. They name it and it's not even as far as an F3! Everything they are making is simply a pheno of strains we already bred into the early 2000's. Everything they make today with some exceptions, like EQ Genetics, is really just an Afgan, a Thai, an American Sativa, and a Chem Brothers strain all bred together into similar varietals. People are now beginning to hunt landraces like the Malawi one.

Seeds are the way to go outdoors because of the volume. Clones are the easiest indoors with a perpetual flower garden. Every two months you are pulling ounces and ounces of quality smoke 💨 I get the fun of seeds though. I will blow you away indoors though using clones while you are waiting for seedlings to veg enough to throw in the flower garden. Alot cheaper than seeds too. My opinion anyways.

If it was a mild winter it'll really grow back next year I had a family member of mine that had one in a barn for almost 10 years they had a pile of chicken manure that had been rotting for 10 years that's basically the way they did things they would let manure Rock for 10 years they put the whole pile on it. That thing had a tree trunk for a base that was the last year that they wrote it and it took and grown outside of a barn almost 100 ft the limbs were laying on the ground it looked like a bunch of plants but it was just one massive huge plant when they took it down it filled up a tobacco Barn. Of course it was just personal and it probably lasted 10 years that one plant did

If you're going to buy packs, buy packs you've heard good things about from multiple people who have actually grown it. Testers are truly hit or miss, do the tried and true packs if you want to get good results, it's worth the extra $. Buuut, if you are more interested in variety on your first few runs than growing a ton of one flavor, it can be pretty fun!

I like to grow a few cycles of clones just to dial it in for reaching max potential, but I'm doing it for myself and it does get boring. I like the idea of having several strains to rotate through to add diversity, but I'm limited on space and like trying new strains. The big problem I'm having is with breeders selling poor quality seeds

Unless you have a lot of time and want to find something unique, go with clones! You know what the terpenes are, if the flavor comes through in the smoke and the yield. Especially new or first time growers should always go with clones so they know what to expect instead of the guesswork with seeds So many people growing from seed talk about the dont know what they’re doing wrong or dont understand why they cant get certain yields and flavors that others get when in reality its just bad phenos from growing seeds.

@@PryceFarms No.... I go away for a month or more at a time. Clones are not available in many countesses. Clones for growing for profit.... seeds for person growing.

@@PryceFarms I'm not anti clone. I have a mate that been growing for many years, but his MS is now quite bad and he couldn't handle seeds anyway these days, so he gets some clones off matee. But for me seeds are just so convenient to my lifestyle. 2 grows a year in my 4x4. gives me well over an oz a week to smoke. It works for me. But I do realise why some like doing it. especially for commercial growing or if someone had a smaller tent and needed to do a constant cycle. Or was readying for an outside plot.

Clone is consistent but can’t tell you how many times they’ve got mites, PM, aphids, thrips, etc. Seeds are nice. take a bit longer, vigor, no bugs, feminized is becoming popular (still variation). Finding a pheno and then taking own clones is the way to go. Lots of good breeders these days.

Got spider mites from a store bought clone that I should have quarantined and cleaned up better so that’s my fault, but it took so long and so much cleaning to get rid of them that I swore I would never run another clone unless it was my own. I love growing big plants outside better than inside so I don’t use clones because of the lack of a tap root so they will never get bigger than a plant started from a seed. I will use clones to make seeds from strains I like. Everyone has different situations on where they can grow or what they prefer but for me nothing let better than seeing a huge 12 to 14 or even a 16 foot tree or bush. Looking at one of mine or someone else’s tent grows just doesn’t do it for me anymore even if they are nice plants with killer buds but everyone is different. I’ve had people tell me they never knew a plant could get so big because all they have ever done was grow indoors.

I don’t know anyone else in my small circle of friends who grows. Actually I can’t even think of any other regular users to get seeds or clones from. I’ve been pretty stealth and people were secretive about it prior to last August. For a lot of years it was all I could do just to find some to buy let alone be offered clones. They tell me that clones come with the risk of contaminating my garden. Clones are an interesting option and I plan on seeing what I can find in saved bag seeds next winter run. I’ll get those going and see if I can luck out and find some females. If that is successful I may try cloning one of those.
