When you are trimming your buds immediately save the sugar leaf trim and put it in the freezer. When you have plenty to work with, bust some dry ice up into small chunks and mix it into the trim. Let it set long enough to freeze the trim. Then shake the dry ice/ trim mixture inside of a bubble bag while letting the frozen keif fall out the bottom and collect over a large mirror. Use a card to scrape up all the keif! You will love it! I sure do!

I used to do the cold water thing, got my bubble bags 20 years ago, but SOME flavor compounds are water soluble, so while potency went up taste went down....now, I just take the 120 nm bubble bag, add trim, put it in the freezer for an hour or two, then shake it inside a 5 gal bucket with a garbage bag draped over the top....flavor and yield are huge, then you can always butane extract the leftovers to get every smidgen of goodness! Thanks Scotty!

FIRSTLY, huge respect and props... I love this channel man. Its technical and yet easily digestible. The recharge aint bad either. 😉 However, i would like to offer some assistance and a slight correction... The ice is not supposed to be "knocking" the trichomes off the buds... The ice should contact the plant material as little as possible in fact. The vortex of the swirling ice cold water is what breaks off the frozen heads. If its the ice doing the work, you will get green rosin or what we call "plant matter" or "particulates" in it. This happens because tiny bits of the plant material get pushed through the screen when the ice is literally pulverizing it under water. You also want to remove the stock drain hose and replace it with a smooth hose, as the ribbed hose they come with will trap trichomes thus messing with your end product and yield. Feel free to pin this btw guys. 1: Be in a room as cold as you can stand. Make sure your plant material is frozen to start. 2: 75/25 split of water and ice in the machine or a 55gal drum. (75% water to 25% ice.) 3. You want the water as close to freezing as possible and i use RO/DI water. Once that is established you may add your flower. 4: add flower to the work bag and make sure if it has a velcro thing or clips to cover the zipper... use it so the bag doesnt come unzipped durring the spin. 5: Have your water ready, lightly cover the plant material with just enough ice to hold the plant material under the water completely. 6: let soak (around 30 min) until you can pull a nug out and its wet all the way through. 7: FINALLY you can spin the material. Turn on the machine and let it run. (Time here can vary depending on model etc.) Remember the vortex is what should be doing the work. Not the ice. Use a wooden paddle in a swirling motion if using the 55 gal drum. 8: once "washed" for 3-6 minutes drain it through the micron bags and scoop off the trichomes of the different size bags and put it on parchment paper or put it right in a deep freezer. ***bonus info*** 25u is considered food grade and can be used for edibles and such, it is mostly broken trichome stalks and head bits that made it through to the super small holes of the 25u bag, where as 90u-173u is about where the best of the best is at. Anyway... 9. If using parchment paper, put that in a pizza box and "chop it" up with the spoon you scooped it up with. Then put that in the fridge immediately. You can sieve it when dry enough. If using deep freezer, when its ready you can sift it through a sieve. Same as the pizza box method but DO NOT LET the material get warm with the pizza box method. Heat and oxygen are you enemy!!! 10: pack those loose trichomes into the correct size micron bag and then you can press its. 11. To press correctly, the press should at least a 2 ton but id recommend a 4 or higher. You can even do it with a hair straightener though so... its up to you. Just know the quality and yield will be drastically different between the hair straightener and having a quality press with heating elements on each plate of the press. (Get a press that both plates heat up individually. this was a game changer for me.) The plates should stay around 160-180 degrees and material should be pressed for around 3 to 4 minutes... can go up to 5 minutes but just dont go crazy on it and really watch for blowouts/color change. Lastly, subscribe to this channel as these guys are the reason i know most of my grow knowledge. Love y'all, and hope you all have the best day you could possibly have! -PEACE

Nice video. I've been making coconut oil extract and the end product is great. I try to find indica dominant strains because I use it for my sleep apnea and nerve damage from a previous job I held. The coconut oil works really well. I get a full 8hrs of uninterrupted sleep and feel refreshed the following day. Thanks for making this video. Your statements on the different types of extract that can be made for health reasons are a confirmation that it is not a waste of flower. Given that cannabis can have an offensive smell when smoked at times ,the extraction method is a great alternative to smoking and actually beneficial to health. Keep THC in healTHCare

I use the big Ziploc bag when the leaves are dry and Bust them up and put them in the bag. Put it in the freezer take it out crunch it around through the bag put it back in the freezer and do it again dump it out on the trim bin and move it around with the credit card. Get a nice round bottle that can take boiling water, dump that stuff and then parchment paper. Fold it and start rolling with the bottle. Open fold roll again repeat you’re done.❤ I have no use for it. I have plenty of terminal buds.❤🎉

When I made my RSO I froze my weed and medical 99.9% alcohol flushed the weed a few times. Poured the mix in a glass dish and set it in a electric skillet of water un till the alcohol evaporates. Slow evaporation gets better result with lower heat. Need well ventilation and no fire or spark lol. Turns out not bad. I will have to try bubble bags! Thanks Scotty!

Centrifuge machine and a vials that have a filter inside them you place rosin in two vials to even the unit out. It spin and spin and spin and clean the rosin they also call this color remediation. I personally like rosin pure and not done like this but if you want it to look like top shelf. And that is debatable that is how it is done. You can purchase the unit and vials with filters in them for a fairly decent price just make certain you have exactly sane weight on both sides or the machine will tear itself apart.

You can save a mold-ruined crop using the ice water and bag method. The micron bags filter out the mold. I bought a still from Home Depot for $80 to make RSO and save the alcohol for reuse. It is currently cheaper to buy the RSO than waste a couple fifths of Everclear, hence the distiller!! Seeds should arrive today. Things are all lined up for happy.

The gate keepers of the rosin community only press bubblehash and will give you crap for pressing flower but really there is nothing from with pressing flower if that's your only option. I stopped going to the dispo since and my dabpress paid itself off in the first 3 months. This year I should have enough for bubblehash so we'll see how that goes.

I dunno, i mean a good cookie with butter and some chlorofil aint bad tasting, especially with some sesame to combat the grassy flavour notes. I mean people buy super greens and chlorofil as a diet supplement, A2 greens for example. So why not popularise consumtion of fresh plants in cooking and juicing, we already know the plant has massive health benefits when eaten unheated or raw juiced. Chlorofil has its time and place, it is also a major part of the medicinal use.

Why aren’t people trimming with latex gloves? It’s so easy to remove the “finger hash” from the gloves, and your hands stay clean.

You can always dry sift. I’ve got an electric tumbler I put my frozen trim in. It’s not the cleanest, but it’s definitely quick. And with short cycles, it’s really not that bad. What strain you got is key tho, some strains dump and others not so much. Especially some of the older genetics in my experience.
