The opening scene is a deleted clone wars scene with James and Matt as Kenobi and Anakin, which was never fully animated. And the voices for the mustafar duel is also Matt and James's lines from the lego star wars skywalker saga game, with a little of Hayden and Ewan mixed in.

My one complaint is that it was not fast enough in the saber swings and that could be a limitation of the animation

This took them 3 years, they started in 2020. It's amazing to see what actual passion for something will create!

The look of "What the hell do I do now" face Obi-Wan has holding Baby Luke just puts it all in perspective.

Note that the original, Ewan's Obi-wan didn't skip a beat and never really had that "oh shit moment" like JAT's Clone Wars Obi-Wan has had on multiple occasions.

@@tfcbioshock in this regard not only is Obi-Wan fighting for the lives of the Republic but he fighting for his own and the Skywalker twins. If he loses everyone loses, and it only hits home when he is holding Luke. As if the cycle is repeating itself when he told Anakin at Qui-Gon's funeral he would be trained.

The opening part was a scene from an arc of Clone Wars that was already half finished when Disney canceled it. So the animation was half finished and everyone had already recorded their lines. This guy just finished the animation on it. It's called the Crystal Crisis arc and it's a full four episodes that's been publicly released that's just half animated

Watched this twice and reminded me why I loved Star Wars. Episode 3 was the movie that made me enjoy the series, and this fan animation took years of making this masterpiece. Worth the wait and awesome reaction. At least there are fans like Hello There who will keep the flame alive.

Definitely one of the best fan films I've ever seen.

The heir to the empire animated fan films series by Darth Angelus is much better.

The voices is from Lego star wars, clone wars and more. Also if u watch it in 4K it's even better

Something that stuck out to me upon watching was Anakin yelling "I hate you" and how much more that had an impact on my reaction to it. Clone Wars gave us the opportunity to get to know these characters a lot more and we saw the development of the bond between Obi Wan and Anakin for many years. Love projects like this.

I've watched this twice now and I want the whole movie. This is pure magic!

This is and will always be my favorite lightsaber fight of the saga, so cool to see it animated like that, almost like it’s an entire episode of TCW

its like seeing it for the first time again, I guess seeing it in animated clone wars style hits different with all the time we spent with them in the show, like somehow I still disassociated the cartoon characters from the live action. Crazy good!!!

I would love to see this happen!!! This was freaking awesome!!!

You wanna smile bc of how well done it is but then you remember what you're watching and get sad again.

Watching this reminds me of the feelings and love I have for Star Wars and in return it makes me angry at how much Disney and lucasfilm has absolutely destroyed it

And then Disney screwed it up.

⁠​⁠@@brandonaustin9339 fans are partially responsible for that too. George was tired to deal with fans, back then fans didn’t like prequel movies, some even thought prequels raped their childhood. If he made the new sequel, definitely lots of us will still complain. Now SW is getting more fucked up because of Disney, and SW can’t be saved now.

Note on the voices. The opening scene is a removed scene from what was originally season 7 It was voiced but never finished. The rest of the CW voices are taken from their versions of the lines from the Skywalker Saga LEGO game.

Only the fans and the games can truly keep Star Wars alive.

Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Starwars movie. Empire Strikes Back is my second. Return of the Jedi 3rd. IMHO,this Is more emotionally sad due to the fact of seeing the Clonewars series and then straight to this,very heartbreaking. Hello There production did an amazing job,well worth the few years wait

Hands down the best Star Wars fan project ever made

From what I've heard, the intro to the fan animation was taken from a cut episode of the Clone Wars

Those were actually either deleted scenes of the fight where it jumped to Yoda vs Sidious in the movie or the original planned fight sequence that was not used in the final film.

Without a doubt, this is my #1 favorite Star Wars fan film. The Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel on Mustafar from ROTS is my #1 favorite lightsaber duel in the entire franchise, so seeing it in TCW animation was a dream come true. Also, most of the dialogue in this fan film comes from "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga", which had Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor reprise their roles as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi respectively.

The more recent fan films/projects I see the better quality they are and far better than most of what Disney Star Wars gives us.

This fan film was absolutely outstanding, Jay! And I agree with you both about REVENGE OF THE SITH. It is also my favorite STAR WARS film followed closely by EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and RETURN OF THE JEDI.

This was so amazing! So well done congrats to everyone involved!

Hearing Matt Lanter say "From my point of view, the Jedi are evil" makes the line land so much better. So many episodes of TCW focused on Anakin being let down by them, committing warcrimes for them, watching others be trampled by them with the Jedi mostly getting no commupance for their actions due to the power they held. In his mind, during this mental breakdown he's having, he's the hero, just like in all those other episodes, and Obi-Wan is the surprise twist villain. The Jedi had good intentions, but in becomign a part of the Republic government they really were two sides of the same coin with Palpatine. Anakin's mistake was just flipping the coin, because he couldn't bring himself to walk away and give up his power like Ahsoka did.

I remember when the Force Awakens first trailer came out, all I could think of was how insane the lightsaber duels were going to be. Glad the sequels never came close to this masterpiece.

If you have not seen it yet also check out the I.M.P.S series. It puts you in the view of the day to day lives of Imperial troops in a military type documentary series. So far there are 3 chapters with chapter 4 coming soon.

Hell yes gentlemen, Revenge of the Sith is the best film! Was there for the midnight premiere in 2005. Good times. 😎 ‘A Hello There Production’. Nice touch. They did a great job!! I can watch this lightsaber duel and never tire of it. Star Wars for me ended after ROTS and the Clone Wars. It’s easy to ignore Disney Star Wars, it’s simply garbage.

The only lightsaber duel I liked more was the fight between Qui Gon, Obi-Wan, and Darth Maul. The animation was good, but I found the cartoonish lightsaber trails a bit hard to watch. I wish them the best of luck and would like to see more of their work.

YES! BTW, that element of Xwing's face has always been there for all to see, over the last 2 years...along w/ the Pedro Pascal Fraternal Twin Brother aspect. How could he get rid of that gorgeous, manly mustache (coming from a guy who's had his for 36 years 😊)?!

If this had been made by Lucasarts tpdau, they would have made Anakin a gay black woman, and Obi-Wan a Transgender Non-Binary.

Fans doing better job than Disney again

Some of it is better, some is not as good. Them slashing the walls was better in the live action version, saber combat generally better animated. Also the way Anakin says "you underestimate my power" I think was delivered better in the animated, but at the start him saying "you will try" was better live action
