If there were only one piece of music to keep forever - this would be the One!!

First heard this on the "Sounder" film soundtrack. Much later, playing it on a blues harp on a late night Cambridge MA subway platform, a Bahamian preacher approached me, telling me he knew that tune (with different words) from his own gospel tradition. Amen!

I love the way Taj plays this tune. His attack is so great and soulful. He often is just off time with his notes, but in a really skillful way that works so well. You don't get that out of a book. Amazing.

When this is played - I see an old wooden house porch in the Autumn with granny on the rocking chair and an old dog kicking back, leaves falling and the river a flowing. I hear you brother. Cheers fae Bonnie Scotland

I've seen Eric three times and each was a beautiful experience. A consumate artist and great musician/songwriter.

@@Bisshead Yup, strange indeed, & as I recall he was amazing. Pretty sure that I went to see him a couple of years back at the same venue & his Daughter was the support act, another great evening.
