Not for nothing but Clive isn’t as wholly original as you might think. Books of blood is just a riff on the illustrated man, Jacqueline ess is a riff on carrie,rawhead Rex is jaws on land. There are plenty of original voices and films and art out there you simply have too look. That’s not a knock to Clive because I love his work but you must remember his a professional so anything new at that time he probably saw as a threat
