Implements are like guns and fishing poles. You can never have to many. Love it! 🤣🤣👍
I know that the rain was truly a blessing.
Enjoyed watching your pup do a safety circle looking for snakes (genetically inherent in all canines) at around 10:01! You welding beads are outstanding!!!
Having a functioning backup is a good feeling.
Two things... First, it never ceases to amaze me what you can complete in 5-10 minutes, LOL!! And second, do you EVER make a bad weld? Or do you only show us the good welds? Because your welding skills are amazing!!
Cutting those tall grasses down will help keep the pinkeye down as well.
See that is what I am about as well........I used to sew, a lot. Got myself into a situation where I had customers waiting for costumes for a festival. Good thing that I had all three machines ready for sewing just in case my oldest machine had a hiccup. Being prepared for what could happen in an otherwise smooth plan makes plan always doable. Not everyone thinks that way. Glad we do.......😊
You may not ever use it but you sure won't ever have to build another one. Made in the U.S.A. !!
It’s like having another new machine! I know you like to collect those. Great job. 👍🏻
That welding is way too fancy for "regular ole farm dobbin'"!!! Nice work!!!
You are definitely a jack of all trades! YAY! It’s finally raining!
Plan B gets an A+.
Good project for a rainy day! Your editing was smooth and continuity was spot on!! The rain was sure getting close to coming in the shop, but Callie was comfortable watching dad work!! Good post FTR! You do give the viewer insite with your purpose and explanation of your goals, also adds to the quality and continuity of your channel!
TYLER YOU ARE A FIRST CLASS FABRICATOR 👍 DJ
What an advantage to know welding. Plus with true skills, imagination, and forethought, the sky’s the limit. Well done, Tyler.
SIMPLE PROJECT???? As always!, totally impressed at your skills! Crazy talented farmer T!
Good Morning! Dark Sky! Heavy Clouds ☁️! The Rain 🌧 on the Tin Roof! Gate for the Bull Pen! Bale Spear! Interesting to watch! You make it look easy! I see Callie napping! You’re really planning ahead! I really enjoy your videos because your explanations are easy to understand! Great Video! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's a real pleasure to watch a talented metal fabricator at work. Really good job!!!
Another awesome project accomplished. Hope you got some rain. Have a great rest of your day.
I love watching you do metal work.
Damn your welds are nice. Seeing the rain makes me jealous. A lot of cattleman producers are closing down in Texas.
Luv the guns/fishin' pole analogy, so TRUE. 👍
The 3 point bale spear looks perfect! 👍 Built better than than you can buy!

Tyler you make fabrication look so easy I don't have it that easy good job there boy
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch the bale attachment looks good.
Awesome welds man! Someone said it first, welder playing farmer 👍👍
One of my favorite things to do is mow my pastures. It looks so nice after I have finished!
You are a professional welder. Looks great!
Another project in the books the hay spear looks great .
Great to have a plan A an B……as stuff does happen to equipment. Great video
Real nice professional job of the bale spear! Your welds are first class and rounding the corners and grinding it up nice is the icing on the cake!
Very good welding!!!! Look forward to your videos.
That 3 point bale spear build was a nice easy-build project, Tyler !! You seemed to whip that out in no time. Good job !! WOW, I didn't know that the 6' round bales weighed as much as a 1,000 lbs. !! That is HEAVY for your little old tractor 🚜 !!
You lay some nice welds
I am always amazed at what you can do with a welder. I might be wrong but believed you learned welding in school. I'm sure you are glad!

Ya can’t buy one built that nice!
Felt good to get some rain the other day!!!
Those welds on the spear unit are fabulous Tyler. I can tell you worked as a machinist!

As a very young friend of mine told me I am 72 he has all his fingers toes eyes and ears he must be doing everything right in terms of safety and a great fabricatory
Really tight welds there Tyler!
I have that exact same oil can at my drill press! Haha! Really enjoyed the build. Had a good “Mr. Chickadee” feel to it. Well done!
wow! quite a build!❤❤🧙♂🧙♂
Great video Tyler,a real pleasure to watch someone who knows how to get it done!
You make these welding projects look so easy!!
The bale spear turned out great.
Wow, omg, well done!!!!
Nice job, you made it look so easy when you have tools. Cheers Bob in UK
always work to do inside when it rains hugsssss
First time I’ve seen the gate….don’t remember ever seeing that before now
Thanks for sharing Tyler 9-20-2022😊😊
Always enjoy your fabrication videos. The new spear looks great.
Nice Tyler im impressed . 👏
Nice Job on the bale spear project... you must have been a welder on your previous life... your welds are beautiful...
Very nice work. Couldn’t agree more on the guns and fishing poles.
We have two types of bunch grass like that...Johnson grass and Smut grass. Both can be eated, but the cows don't like it because it is stemy.
You are an amazing master artist of welding!! I love your videos, you have intriguing views and bring your ideas to life in front of my eyes!
I love your project on the 3 point spear!!
Yet again patten! I honestly don’t know why you haven’t opened up your own manufacturing facility yet lol! Looks fantastic Tyler and I absolutely love the goose neck idea!
I think it is common, at least with my cattle, but cattle won’t eat the grass when it has seed heads. We basically do the same thing…mow the pasture so the grass restarts leaf growth. When the cut grass dries, then the cows will eat it, but they still prefer the new growth!😂 Great job on the new three point bale spear! It’s a beast, but will last you a long time.
The project turned out awesome !!!
Another excellent job Tyler.
Your welds look great! You make this look so easy. Good Job.
Your design and welding skills amaze me. I wish I had that when I was young and on the farm. Would of made the repair cattle, sheep, and horse gates alot easier. Great video. Thanks.
Farmer Taylor Ranch 👍🐄🐂🐄🐂🐄🐂🐄 Who knew it comes in handy to be a metal fabricator when working on a farm 🌎 Joey ⚓
A idea for the three point hitch top link is a hydraulic cylinder so you can angle the bale to keep it from coming off while transporting
You truly love your puppy Callie , you also are always busy !!! Don’t know how you do it ???
Master welder 🙂
Cool thanks 😊 😊
You're an excellent welder. You could certainly make a living as a welder should you need to some day !! But there was one thing I was concerned about and that was whether or not you had ear protection when you were cutting the flat bars and square stock with your shop saw. I once used a portable concrete saw to repair my front steps and really damaged my hearing because I didn't have ear plugs or other hearing protection. I'm paying for it now !!
Clever guy 😊
Love it! Plan B is always nice to have
Good work Tyler, as always!
Great work!
Always enjoy your videos...take care from Australia
Nice job. Ever thought about getting a loader your New Holland. Recently got a Westendorf loader for my New Holland and is a game changer.
Ha! Starting out I’m thinking 3-point spear is a bale spear with three spears(duh). I think it was about 5 minutes in when I realized it was a 3-point hitch bale spear. I don’t know quite why I looked at it that way, I use my 3-points for everything…. Great work!
Hello Tyler nice work. Your welding looks great. Make a few more spears and sell them. Tyler spears..... maybe the ball is to high though. Have a great day.
Man do I hate those clumps of grass and Ant piles. I have been put out of commission because of rainy days, I cant cut or bale the hay!! Nice Fabrication of your 3 point bale spear. Hope you have a great day FT.
Frekin Sweet!
Great welding job!!!
Could you put a loader on ur new holand if u ever wanted too? Also I like the goose neck ball on there that was a good idea I can’t wait to see you use that lol
We call that salt rye. They leave it because it pokes them in the eye when they try to eat this grass. Cut down they eat all of it
Finally caught up on your videos. Had to watch the channel from the beginning. On your 3pt hay spears and with your pallet forks you ever thought about fabricating a scissor lift for the three point hitch especially not having front loader on your tractor. It'll give you a higher reach and would be a great project to watch you work through.
nice job, you just need something to hang over those tips to stop children, dogs and cattle from impaling themselves when left unattended!
Absolutely awsom love it like to know the measurements, love your work lol love your welding really do
Clever guy!
Thx
Looks great!
No 3 pth bale spear is complete without a 2 5/16 ball welded on top👍
FTR I really like your fabrication work and your welding skills and how meticulous you are when cleaning up your work before painting. Good job on that spear but, the real kicker is you made it fo4 yourself but, took the pride in it as if you were making it to sell . Most would not do the extra work.
Ok, by show of hands, who (besides me) jerked their head back thinking Tyler was going to hit the camera with the front of the tractor? 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️ 😆🤣😆🤣
Implements are like guns and fishing poles…you mean living in CA, they haven’t outlawed fishing poles yet 😂? Great work FTR, love your videos!
🙋🏻♀️ Question: Why do you call it a 3 point feeder when there are only two points? Just have to say that your camera work in pretty creative. Love the shot of Cali sitting on the tractor 🚜. Second, really like that shot in the beginning where the tractor 🚜 feels like it’s going to run over the camera. Third, I really like the shot of you, the cows, Cali, and the rain in the background, while you’re out in the field. That’s a really cool shot. Thanks for sharing, as always enjoyed watching and look forward to your next video. 🙂

Haha. I find your simple mistake real funny. Cute. It’s called 3 point because it attaches to the rear of the tractor in 3 places. It actually has nothing to do with the spears.
@robreesor5011

The 3 points he refers to are the 3 points in which it conects to the tractor. Two lower ones do the lifting while the top one keeps it level or stabalizes the impliment.

I bet when that thumb stopped hurting it felt mighty good. 😢😂😊
I wonder if a sickle bar mower cut that grass better?
❤❤❤
👍🏼🎉😃
FT, you sure impress me. I like how you cover your a--, I mean bases! lol
I have a design question. Why did you choose to make your hay spear with 2 vertical spears? I don't see many of those and was wondering what led you to that design. I buy hay from others and often have to settle for poor quality hay in tough years. In those times, a tool with two small spears on the bottom and a large spear on the top helps to keep the bale from shifting when lifted. Thanks, as always, for your excellent videos, and I do appreciate those welds you produce.

Because it goes onto the 3-point attachment. Cheers! Edit: another person answered the same question in more detail.
